Since I moved to backpacks and away from wheeled carriers, I've been trying to find a solution for my suits. I realize that you simply will have to fold a suit to get it to fit into a carry-on size backpack, but I was looking for a better solution than a large packing cube. This seemed like a nice solution for that.
On unboxing, it seems very nice, very professional looking. Its narrow (of course) and long. In fact, too long. I don't have any backpacks it will fit in, except one extra large backpack that is questionable whether it will fit carry on. But I pressed on.
I brought it with me to Kenya, and on the eve of a conference I was to travel to, I did a practice run with a suit to see how it would fit. I was using a rolltop backpack and that seemed to work as the rolltop allowed me to extend the length of the bag. I wasn't sure if I was compliant with airline regs, but I thought I would give it a shot. I packed in a suit and two shirts.
I had to fold my suit in half to fit it in - not really ideal, but... press on. Jacket, pants, two shirts. Put it in the bag with shoes... OK, I can make this work.
I went to unpack it and the zipper fell off. In my hand. Not a $10 no name bag, Eagle Creek, first time using (practicing) and I'm holding the zipper in my hand. The zippers are INCREDIBLY flimsy, so use them with extreme caution.
Warrantees and good service are all nice, but travelers travel and sometimes they travel to places like Kenya. I would prefer something well made than a company that provides service. I don't want service, I want a bag that works.

This product is absolutely unreal! I board 100+ flights per year for work and I’ve never come accords a product so necessary for business travel. I’ve had the same carryone for about 12 years now (they don’t make products like they used to) and my only issue with it was I had no way to safely bring a suit on board. Yes I could have gotten a new suitcase or just a suiter, I like to travel with one bag and to carry it on if I can. This product completely changed my game. It fits perfectly into my tiny carry on (21 inch) and I couldn’t be happier (pictured). Will be buying more Eagle Creek products! Well done!
