I bought these in blue and red for a recent vacation. Based on the description of the product, they sounded like the perfect solution to keeping our clothes neat and organized for our cruise.
I was extremely unhappy when I unpacked our clothes to find that several expensive shirts and dresses were ruined because the color from the garment folder rubbed off on the clothing. I had then immediately cleaned but they are permanently stained and will need to be replaced. Unfortunately some of the garments were new so this ended up being a very expensive purchase. I will not be using these again!
I don't usually write negative reviews but I feel folks need to be aware of my experience and purchase with caution.

I have been using these packing cubes and folders for 5 years. I used to be skeptical of packing organizers until I tried them. I am now a convert. I have also learned from experience which of these products is right for me. As a result, I have different sized folders, cubes, and sacs. I also want to add this is not the product you should use for folding suits or women's formal wear. Eagle Creek makes a Garment Sleeve which is better suited for that application. With all of that said, I love this folder. I can get a fair amount of clothing inside. I typically use these folders for khaki pants and collared shirts when I travel. My clothes stay fairly wrinkle free. The product is lightweight and durable. The large and medium size of these folders are more suited for checked bags. I have a few of these packing folders in various sizes. I also have them in different colors so I can color code my clothing.

I want to add one last thing most people do not mention. These are easy to wash. I took the boards out of them, secured all the Velcro (to protect it), threw it in my wash machine, and let it air dry. The cubes and sacs can be washed the way.

A bit too large for modern carryon bags

I was headed to a meeting and needed something to keep my suit from getting wrinkled in my luggage. I ordered this at the same time as a 22" Maxlite rollaboard by travelpro and they arrived the day before my trip thanks to Prime shipping. I was a bit disappointed to discover that it would barely fit into the bag opening (which had rounded corners). I had to angle it just to squeeze it in while empty. Fortunately I could squeeze my suit jacket and pants into a small dot&dot garment folder I had ordered for my dress shirts (10x15, I think).

The best option for getting a suit into the smaller carry-ons they market today is probably the larger dot&dot folder which is a couple of inches smaller in each dimension. As an added bonus you get two for the price of the single Eagle Creek folder.

Get your suitcase organized

If you haven't seen the video of how this works, look at that. You use a plastic rectangle and fold your shirts around the rectangle, slip the rectangle out and then do it again with another shirt, and pretty soon you have a stack of shirts all neatly folded. The velcro ends hold everything in place and you put the thing in a suitcase -- and if the security checks your bag, you have all the shirts in the folder, which lifts right out. You get to your destination without much in the way of wrinkles. I bought bags for socks, underwear, electronics, and had a suitcase full of these zipper (or velcro) organizers. I chose blue and my husband chose red, and then we decided on red was dirty stuff and blue was clean stuff. On a tour-group multi-city trip, pretty soon you're hunting your clean clothes. I wouldn't travel without them. Oh, and they wash up nicely.

I have this in small and medium. The large is pretty big. Good if your clothes are larger......I'm a small and this one is pretty big. BUT, using it for a gift -- so all is well. (i gave 4 stars because it's bigger than i thought, my bad; the product is a 5)

My boyfriend uses a couple for traveling --which he does a lot for work. he can put dress shirts, pants, t-shirts - like several in one folder. Same when i use mine. By closing it tightly, you get the "air" out -- and clothing is packed tighter, taking up less room. I find when on a trip i leave my items in the "folder" -- and take out as needed. I also use packing cubes and do the same. Then when i get home, anything left in the "folder" or "cube" is clean...and i just put away. Easy.

Perfect for shirts and blouses - and they really do not wrinkle. I am a convert to packing folders and cubes. I also have the Pack-It in the Specter (lighter weight) style offered by Eagle Creek. I much prefer this one to the Specter - it feels more substantial and has a much better velcro system. If you travel, you need one of these folders.

Using these is all part of personal preferences. We went on a cruise and I used a couple of them and thought they were terrific. I packed far more items together which kept them well organized for my purposes. That is, easy access to what I wanted to wear next. On the other hand, the wife used one and wasn't crazy about them at all. Her complaint was that, because different types of clothing were mixed together, it was hard to pick what you wanted without pulling everything out. Since I'm doing the review, from my perspective, I say buy them, they're both time and space savers.

Worked great for packing my Sport Jacket

I've been using Eagle Creek Pack-it Folders for many years, and have both small and medium sizes for shirts and pants. This time I needed a larger one to handle my sport coat. For this, I purchased the large 20" version. It fits the coat perfectly and fit comfortably into my suitcase. However, it was on the heavy side for what I wanted...I'm up against the Airline weight limit! So I pulled out the heavy backer board and inserted only the thinner instruction board in its place. This brought the weight down to 10 Oz...about the same as my medium fold-it case...a good compromise, and sufficiently stiff for a single jacket.
Worked perfect!

Have been looking at these for some time and finally decided to purchase one. Used it recently to carry two pairs of chinos, three shirts and two pair of shorts. It could really have done with having more items stacked as it took them with no issues what so ever. It was in a carry on but had I used it for hold luggage I would have loaded up more. Well worth the money and will last a long time.

Great product, easy to use, and this is a repeat order from one bought previously. But, this latest purchase is not as the original. The end overlap leaves are shorter than the original, meaning shirts limited to two, maybe three. Now I have to get added an extending Velcro Strap to be able to use as i want. Also the overall dimension is a centimetre or so smaller, and quality slightly lower. I will get it altered to use as I want., as it is a good product,
