Love this bag: simple, easy to load and no hassle. It fit perfectly on domestic overhead bins. It's essentially a big compartment, so if you're looking for a bag with dedicated spots for items, this isn't for you. I used packing cubes (a mix of non-Eagle creek ones and the medium Eagle Creek Pack-it folder) which made it a cinch to get everything in that I needed for a 3 day trip.
The zipper pulls are very nice, as well as the compression straps. I used the smaller compartment up front for dirty clothes on my return trip. All the extra handles are super-useful. I do wish there was a dedicated slot/space for bag identification but that's solved pretty easily with just a regular bag tag. Not a huge deal and not worth removing a star on the review.
This is the second Eagle creek bag I've purchased (my other is a Gear Warrior 32, which I love). Slowly but surely I'll be replacing all the cheap bags in my collection with Eagle Creek bags. I'm sold. I LABORED on what bags to get and after all the reviews here and on YouTube, I'm so glad I chose Eagle Creek. Pricey, especially when compared to bag sets you can get here and at department stores but well worth it, in my opinion.
Some things that didn't bother me that potential buyers might care about:
1. The handle to pull the bag collapses nicely in the bag but it's a single bar, not two. You're not going to be able to slip another bag (like a laptop case) through it. I use a backpack, so a non-issue for me.
2. The wheels are sturdy but there are only two, meaning that you're going to have lean the bag to roll it. If you're in line at security or checking in, you won't be able to let it stand on its own and just push it along.
3. The main flap doesn't zip all the way down, it stops short of being a complete clam-shell opening. For me, it didn't bother me at all. For others, it might be annoying since you won't have a complete opening into the bag to pack. I always put shoes in the bottom of my bag and I didn't have any issues.
