4 months later it is still working great. There is no noise problem, blue lighting still shines bright. But i am a little nervous upon reading some to the bad reviews of this company's products.
Everything works as it should after all this time so I have little choice but to put down a 5 star review. Perhaps they have better quality control these days, or maybe I got blessed with a good one.
UPDATE 1/6/2011 through 1/7/2011___
I have noticed for a few weeks now that my system would start freezing, error msgs, IE explorer/google/firefox crashes, choppy video frames,,,,also I get a black screen for a few minutes after system startup upon entering windows desktop. It didn't feel like a video card malfunction though. The fact that my fans have been starting to sound different was the biggest clue that it might be the Eagle Voltas PSU failing. Lets fall back to a 2 star rating.
A word of wisdom from a learned mistake~ "Never go cheap when shopping for a Power Supply, you get what you pay for."
Final result- 40 bucks down the drain, no permanent damage to pc, replaced by Corsair GS-800 and served with a slice of humble pie....hey could somebody pass the whip cream please?
I now have a $35 blue led fan, the only piece that I could salvage.
I've installed a couple of these and no problems, but it's only been a few months.
Time is the test...
Wiring hareness & connectors seem well made, with plenty of old style 4 pin molex & newer SATA style too.
Runs quiet & I like the cool blue light.
If/when I see a failure, I will let you know.
