It's a nice looking Power supply, but obviously we get what we pay for, it worked fine from July 2010 - about Feb 2011.. Sometimes the led in the fan blinked, and when I tried to turn it on some mornings, the fan inside it went really loud, an nothing on screen showed up..

I bought this PSU to go in to a new computer because its stock psu wasn't powerful enough to run my Nvidia GTS 250 I had bought the same day as the computer. (Late March of 2010)

4 months later it is still working great. There is no noise problem, blue lighting still shines bright. But i am a little nervous upon reading some to the bad reviews of this company's products.

Everything works as it should after all this time so I have little choice but to put down a 5 star review. Perhaps they have better quality control these days, or maybe I got blessed with a good one.

UPDATE 1/6/2011 through 1/7/2011___

I have noticed for a few weeks now that my system would start freezing, error msgs, IE explorer/google/firefox crashes, choppy video frames,,,,also I get a black screen for a few minutes after system startup upon entering windows desktop. It didn't feel like a video card malfunction though. The fact that my fans have been starting to sound different was the biggest clue that it might be the Eagle Voltas PSU failing. Lets fall back to a 2 star rating.

A word of wisdom from a learned mistake~ "Never go cheap when shopping for a Power Supply, you get what you pay for."

Final result- 40 bucks down the drain, no permanent damage to pc, replaced by Corsair GS-800 and served with a slice of humble pie....hey could somebody pass the whip cream please?

I had to upgrade my power supply because of my new Video Card. I did not realize the one I had was too small but this one did the job very well and it provided more power than I needed but that is ok. It is ready for more add-ons when I need the power.

Once I opened up the box for the power supply one vital thing was missing, a power cord! Luckily I had one laying around. Eventually I hooked this up to my motherboard and everything and tried turning it on. Nothing happened no motherboard light even came on, afterwards I tried a different outlet in my house, still no luck! So I figured I'd go out and buy a new power supply and I did. I setup the new power supply and the computer booted up. So the skinny of this is that this power supply was defective and missing a power cord, will not buy from this manufacturer again!

This is the second of these I've installed since 2009. Quiet stable power with support for SLI, plenty of power connectors for drives, etc., and the blue light out of the back of my PC is a visual cue the machine is on, even when in standby. Did I mention the price is right?

Should have paid attention to the other poor review given. P.S. could not provide basic power to my Asus MB. MB kept shutting down due to "Faulty power supply" when trying to run even the most basic web based game. Try to run a FPS game, forget it.

I now have a $35 blue led fan, the only piece that I could salvage.

AVOID.

I kinda like this power supply cuz it "SEEMS" like its well made.
I've installed a couple of these and no problems, but it's only been a few months.
Time is the test...

Wiring hareness & connectors seem well made, with plenty of old style 4 pin molex & newer SATA style too.
Runs quiet & I like the cool blue light.

If/when I see a failure, I will let you know.
