I love the idea of wood toys and that's all I buy. This toy looked so cute but I know now why it was only $25! Its TERRIBLE quality!!!!!! When putting it together I realized it was missing hardware and when it was done I put it down only to realize its REALLY (an understatement!!) wobbly and unsteady!! It feels like its going to tip and fall apart if I blow too hard on it! Don't waste your money! Spend an extra few bucks and buy Haba or another reputable brand. There is a reason why this was so cheap...... because it is!!!!!!!!

This is a great little toy, but be warned, it is a little small. I gave it to my granddaughter for her 2nd birthday, and she loves it, she's thrilled to have her own little vehicle and has fun putting things in the trailer (and also figuring out how to attach and detach it from the trike). But it's a little small for her body - her knees are bent at quite an angle and she'll outgrow it soon. Still, it's a nice little trike, easy to put together and well made, for a good price.

I had hesitated on getting this trike after reading the reviews about the poor quality, but in the end, went for it anyways. Putting it together was a pain in the butt. Getting the caps on the rods for the wheels properly made me twitchy (and I can definitely see how a wheel would fall off it you failed to get those on properly). But I got through it and got the darned thing together. It is adorable. My son lit up like a Christmas tree when he first saw it and has played with it every day since (18 months when we got it, 2 now). He really likes how easy the trailer comes on and off, because he can do it totally on his own with little frustration. Sometimes when he's really going, it will fall off, but it doesn't seem to bother him too much. He just stops and puts it back. The trailer is REALLY tiny, but he still thinks it is pretty awesome and makes good use of it. As to the sturdiness... We have had it for about 6 months now, and daily, he tears through the house on it like a mad man, he scoots around in itsy bitsy trailer, and he flips the trike over and rides it around UPSIDE DOWN. Aside from a couple spots where he managed to scuff off a bit of paint from that last trick, it looks like the day I put it together and still feels just as sturdy. I expected it would have fallen apart by now, but it is still wonderful, and if this trike does finally bite the dust before he's outgrown it, considering the price, the love, and everything this thing has been through, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

The trike was not well produced. The screws do not line up well with the parts making a for slanted handle bars and wheels. As such, it's even more difficult for a toddler to gain a sense of balance and direction. Your money is likely better spent on an upgrade.

This bike and trailer are so cute and fun in person. Well made and durable. We've really enjoyed watching our son play with it. Comes ready to assemble and most of the bike and trailer are wooden, with a few plastic pieces, like the wheels. It's perfect for inside play on hardwoods or on a smooth surfaced carport. I wouldn't say this is a great fit for riding on bumpy sidewalks or streets because of the plastic material the wheels.

A Kid's Review on February 2, 2012
I bought this for my 18-month-old for Christmas. She is a very active child who likes things like ride-on toys.

In the 18 months that we have owned this, she has used this toy a handful of times. I am not exactly sure why it does not appeal to her, but here are a few ideas:

-the wheels are lightweight and thin and do not roll easily, especially on hardwood floors. The child really has to push with a lot of effort. If the wheels were made of a denser material like skid-free rubber, I think they would roll much better.

-the trailer is very loosely attached and comes off constantly. I think it is designed that way for safety reasons, but like the xylophone whose mallet is on a super short cord so a kid can't strangle himself, the way this trailer is attaches makes it less fun and not very usable.

Lovely little trike. Seems sturdy enough although my 14 month old hasn't really got the hang of moving about yet, just likes sitting on it ! I paid $56 , from Amazon, less than a month ago which was only a bit more than the UK price where it is made. $99 ???!? Guess it depends how much you want it !
