Likes: 1) how the charger was to one side of the case and not in the middle, and 2) how easy the case was to put on.
Dislikes: 1) couldn't get phone signal 80% of the time, 2) the case was slick and I dropped it several times (!!), 3) the battery only extended my phone life for 6-8 hours with very light use, 4) people would send me texts and I would never get them (I do not understand this, but it's the only time it's happened to me and this case was the only thing different in my routine)
To level set: I hardly use my phone for anything - few calls (some days no calls), a little Facebook, check the weather - mostly it's used for time, taking pictures, and some texting. I've used a Trainium battery case for a couple of years, and really haven't had any problems other than that their case is difficult to get off when I needed to sync my phone or clean off pictures (I don't do the cloud). I went days without charging the Trainium case, and NEVER had reception issues or people telling me they had texted and I had not received it. Within hours of putting on the Anker case, the problems started, and though I tried to give it a chance, tried doing different things to make sure nothing was "on" that would be draining the battery, etc, nothing improved these problems I was experiencing. I ordered a new Trainium case on day 2 of using this Anker case, and had to wait 5 days for delivery. I ended up taking off the Anker case after the second day, while waiting for the Trainium to arrive, and immediately stopped having problems with missed texts, no reception, etc. When I got my new Trainium, I noticed that I actually get BETTER reception than without it! I would say that when I get something, it has to work immediately. I do not have time to mess with something to get it to work or kind of work. This one just didn't do it.
So yeh, I'm a traveling musician which means that it's often that I don't have a plug available to charge my phone, so I've had one of these for a year and a half now to back up my phone when it runs out of a charge. This thing has been great the entire time, and I would typically give it more stars except for I just wanted to report that the power button has stopped working, and it's stuck all the way in and stayed there, so I can't turn it on anymore, which is obviously a big problem. I dunno how to pull the thing apart so that I can fix the spring or whatever it is that isn't letting the button come back up, but that has been the only issue, otherwise the thing is killer; slim, light, holds a charge for a really long time, and more than fully charge my phone, so pretty awesome piece of gear really....
I received the Anker battery case today, and it works as advertised. It is lighter than the Apple iPhone 6/6S Smart Case and about half the price. The Anker case is solidly built, and it is pretty easy to remove the iPhone out of the case if needed. It is also pretty easy to grip the case when holding it on the train or bus while standing, since the case's surface is not slick.
Two issues: 1) Power button is on the back as other reviewers highlighted. This power button is for the case itself. You still have access to the iPhone power button. 2) I now have to replace all of my Anker Lightning charging cables with USB charging cable, since the case has a USB port. The case comes with a very small USB charging cable (I think it is like 6-inches long), but not useful in my case (pun intended :-) ). I will be checking for a Lightning to USB adapter to see if that would work, but I recommend you calculate the overall cost of this battery case + charging replacement cables needed to determine if you should purchase this case or the Apple Smart Case (which uses Lightning, of course).
Overall, I do like the case despite the 2 issues. Thanks Anker for a quality product.
UPDATE: The audio extender adapter that came with the case is impossible to find. I called Anker to see if I can purchase replacements, and they do not have any replacements. So if I lose the adapter, I have no recourse but to replace the battery case since replacing my wired headphones would be more costly than a new Apple battery case. If you know of a replacement audio extender cable, please let me know.

EDIT: Anker customer support has been fantastic working with me to troubleshoot my issues. I received a replacement case at no cost that resolved my signal issue and confirmed with them that the case is now behaving as designed. I've since recommended this to a few friends who have bought the case as well. Thanks to the Anker team for their fast and responsive customer support - it's one of the reasons why I'm a big fan of this brand.
I purchased this item Jan 31, 2017 via Amazon. I loved it at first...could get 2 charges and saved the problem iPhones all have of depleted battery in cold weather. March 27: the item died. All 4 lights on, no charge whatsoever...started buzzing every 10 seconds. Turned it off...re-charged it...no go. Does Amazon sell items that only work for 6 weeks?? Very disappointed. Had to buy another because I need the extra battery but want to let buyers know: it could also be a lemon....Amazon: the ball is in your court. What will you do? Thank you.
