If you're well under 220lbs the weight limit might not be a problem, but I suspect the kind of people who seek out a "heavy duty chair" are going to be people like me, who weigh more than 220 and need a chair rated to carry them all day.
So three stars is based on the chair being good in design for people lighter than me, but downgraded because there's no way you can justify calling a chair "heavy duty" when it's anything but.
My only complaint is that it is very stiff when trying to fold it up. I was literally unable to fold it myself until I figured out how to use my forearms against the arms of the chair as leverage while folding the seat. I'm hoping that it will loosen up the more I use it, but even if it doesn't, I am glad I made this purchase and I would do it again.
I'm a traveling makeup artist and this chair is super awkward to carry and incredibly stiff to try and fold back up. I once had a client try to help me and she got her finger pinched. Luckily she was nice about it. The pocket on the side also ripped real easy when I was getting it out of my vehicle. I mean I barely used any force and half of it just ripped right off. It's canvas so good luck sewing it. I just safety pinned it in the corner so it's not all flopping around. The leg is also bent so it wobbles when people sit in it.
This would be great if you have it set up in a studio and you don't have to lug it anywhere. It's comfortable and there's a foot rest for the client which is nice.
