"In our high tech society, connecting with the Earth has never been morecritical to our health and well-being. This inspired and well-researched book explains the peils we face by being disconnected from the powe and energy of the Earth and its boundless storehouse of free electrons. Could much of disease, chronic inflammation, poor sleep and more be the result of this?A brillian hypothesis well-grounded in Science. Highly recommended." --Nicholas Perricone, M.D., author of "Ageless Face, Ageless Mind" --Direct comments from Dr. Perricone
"Earthing ranks right up there with the discovery of penicillin. This book is probably the most important health read of the 21st centur" --Ann Louise Gittleman, Ph.D., C.N.S., author of "The Fat Flush Diet" --Direct comments from Dr. Gittleman
"Earthing connects us to Nature and Nature is the ultimate source of health and healing. This book is a manual for one of Nture's great healing secrets." -John Gray, Ph.D., author of "Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus" --Direct comments from Dr. Gray

This quote in the book is very fitting:
"Illnesses do not come upon us out of the blue. They are developed from small daily sins against Nature. When enough sins have accumulated, illnesses will suddenly appear."
After reading this book I immediately started earthing/grounding naturally in my backyard. I also ordered an earthing kit (half sheet and mat, cords and testers) through Earthing Dot Com so I could do it at night as well. (You can by the earthing kit on Amazon as well but after telling several people about it, it seems the kit does not always come with the book or directions like it does when you buy directly from their website.)
I have had insomnia for about a year, ever since I moved into a house where there was a Smart Meter on my back bedroom wall. Not sure if this has something to do with it or not, but if you read all the horrific health complaints people are having regarding smart meters, it is probably the likely culprit.
Immediately when I started grounding myself during the day and night my insomnia seems to have completely disappeared. I slept nearly 9 hours the first night I had it which is unreal to me. It only has been a little over a week now of using the earthing products. But I feel great. Instead of only getting 5-6 hours of restless sleep, I have been getting 7-8 of really deep/good sleep. Yes, I realize it could be a placebo effect. But I highly doubt it at this point. Time will tell if it is or isn't. I have more energy in the day now as well. My brain is working better. I was starting to develop memory problems due to being sleep deprived. I am not noticing that anymore. I am amazed.
I do believe this is one of the best health books ever written. Earthing is probably right up there with eating a good diet when it comes to our health. I cannot recommend this book enough. And I also recommend watching the documentaries that were done by the same people who wrote the book called "Grounded" and "Heal For Free". Right now you can watch "Grounded" on Youtube for free.
Maybe one day people will truly wake up to the dangers of EMFs from all of our electronics including the horrible Smart Meters we have had forced down our throats by the NWO and the electric companies. A class action lawsuit is far overdo. And maybe, just maybe one day people will realize how far disconnected from the earth we have really become. Our stupidity is our own demise. And unfortunately we are taking the animals and the planet down with us.
Mother Earth with all her electricity. And the electricity identified as a remedy not by a doctor, but by a cable man, Clinton Ober. Sometimes it takes a mind twisted a different way to tell science to look at itself. Here, it will come with the open, intrigued mind of co-author Dr Stephen Sinatra, M.D., a cardiologist who through earthing will get astounding results with his patients.
Clinton Ober, a very successful cable businessman needs to put his affairs in order after a messed up root canal messes up all his organs. So he sells his business, wraps up everything and embarks on a journey. This journey—his last, he thinks—ends up being a spiritual one as much as a physical one. A fusion of two worlds that seem opposite to each other only when one isolates oneself from the earth.
He finds out that walking barefoot on sand or soil improves his health. How? By allowing the earth to stabilize his own electrical system with her electrons. It’s like “charging a failed battery,” some explain. The constant influx of these electrons, it is believed, is able to attack, weaken, even kill viruses and diseases. It kills fatigue as well. If you like to travel, earthing will reduce jetlag considerably. Just place your feet on the grass outside the airport upon arrival for about fifteen minutes.
At first, Ober the non-medical scientist is seen as a nutcase. But he cures himself and he also helps other people. Little by little, with passion and perseverance, he manages to get more support, including the aforementioned one from cardiologist Stephen Sinatra.
Because not everyone lives in the Caribbeans or California, Ober creates sheets and pads that can be plugged in and that, according to the numerous testimonies in this book, give results that are similar to walking barefoot on the earth. Pregnant women, exhausted cyclists from Le Tour de France, overstressed people, women with PMS find relief with this earthing equipment. So do people with sleep apnea, urinary infections, MS, epilepsy, depression, bipolar disorder, Lyme disease, lupus, back pain, autism, arthritis and allergies, among others.
I have not tried the equipment yet, but I plan to order a pad. I take medication for several disorders, including migraine and thyroid disease—which earthing addresses as well. So this aspect of the review is to be continued. An addendum will follow at the appropriate time.
The book itself is clear and well organized, thanks, I suspect, to the efforts of Martin Zucker, who is the professional writer in this trio of authors. I would have shortened some of the testimonies, however, as I found their length—and their number, perhaps—a bit overwhelming. I would also give them a word of warning for the cover. It’s all fine except for the subtitle: “The most important health discovery ever!” Had this book not been recommended to me by someone I trust, I might have skipped it just because of this. What is penicillin, the rabies vaccine? Chopped liver? Speaking of which, how about Amboise Paré and the discovery of surgery? Please remove this subtitle and its exclamation mark; it cheapens the book.
Some reviewers wonder why earthing is not better known. (Again, that damn subtitle?) I have some suspicions. Earthing doesn’t ask patients to stop their medical treatment. But some have reduced their medication after getting their pads or walking barefoot on the earth; others have managed with earthing alone, and with better results. So the pharmaceutical industry is probably not thrilled by the prospect that earthing, if it is as efficient as testimonies seem to claim, could dig a serious hole into its tremendous profits.
