1. I have made 6 different recipes - all have appropriate levels of technique and spice
2. I was able to make recipes under 1hr (start to finish) - note about myself - I have cooked for awhile but I believe even if you haven’t you will be able to use this book
3. Excellent mix of flavors for vegetarian/vegan folks
Overall - excellent. One note, ingredients do need to be found .. so that might be the only complicated part but I live in the Bay Area so it isn’t an issue.

The book is beautiful, very high quality with pictures for almost every recipe.
Some recipes call for specialized ingredients. I started with the ones that didn't, and I was so enthused by the results that I started picking up the ingredients I'd need to make the others.
Someone commented below that you have to convert from metric in order to make the recipes, but that isn't true, at least with the version of the book I received in the US.
