Next, forget about buying the THIN intex ground tarp thing the pool goes on, and go down to Home Depot, or Lowes and buy some "outdoor/all weather carpet", for about $20 and place the pull on this... it is much thicker and resistant to sticks, acorns, or imperfections in the ground, plus it will stand up to weather better.
Last, is the pump. I HIGHLY recommend you do the following:
I read many reviews on these intex pumps, and the problem that seems to plague them is a cheaply made plastic impeller that moves (pumps) the water. So listen up folks... if you buy a replacement pump, or even buy a pool set for the first time, BEFORE you even use the pump for the first time, take it apart until you can remove the impeller. This is pretty simple requiring only about 4 or 5 screws be removed... just make sure you pay attention to how it comes apart (especially the washers around the impeller). Then go down to walmart, home depot, lowes, or any autoparts store and buy some EPOXY. This should be two different thick liquids (or gels) that come in two different tubes that you must mix together. This stuff is SUPER STRONG, and most are rated for 2,500 to 3,500 lbs per square inch of strength... like steel almost. So what your going to do is get a small paint brush, and "paint" the impeller with epoxy, making a SUPER STRONG coat over the cheap plastic.Read more ›
Quick notes-filters,buy two and each weekend swap them out!(just wash them out with a hose).dont waste your money on a bunch of chemicals!1 inch bleach tablets are the way to go.You think there is no debris which gets into the pool, but remember there is sunscreen that gets in there
The filter seems to work OK for me. I run it for 2 hours twice a day as per the instructions. I bought an outdoor timer. The instructions tell you to replace the cartridge every two weeks but I'm using the same one after 5 weeks. I live in New York state. I imagine if this was Florida, you'd need to change the filter more often. I bought a 'vacuum' you hook up to a garden hose which is cheap and works great. Collect the debris in a mesh bag. Also bought a solar cover for $20 and a skimmer for $10. Got a couple of floats, a mask and snorkel and I float face down. Paradise!

3 weeks after setting it up it won't stay inflated. It also filled more wide than tall. A true disappointment since our last pool lasted 5 years. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Amazon Customer
My kids have had a blast in this pool all summer! It's the perfect size! We have had 10 kids in here at once and they had plenty of room to play.Published 12 months ago by Leanna Klauck
Awesome pool for its size. 4 kids, 9 to 3 yrs old will play for hours if you let them. Filter will fall apart very quickly and you will have to upgrade. Read morePublished 12 months ago by Tim Pedry
