If you're new to this craft, you'll want to know that "Swedish Weave" (I shudder at Amazon's spelling of "Sweedish"!)is not weaving and not even necessarily Swedish. It's a type of embroidery that runs through loops on the front side of a special fabric called Huck toweling. Thus, the finished towel (or apron, curtain, or whatever else you want to use the finished panel for) has a plain back and a patterned front. If your local fabric store does not carry Huck, it is easily ordered online. Enough for one towel should cost about $3.00.To this, add the modest cost of a dollar or two for couple of skeins of embroidery floss, and you're set to go!
for a beginner...like me. Very helpful plus
directions and patterns are extremely easy to follow.
I have nothing else to say.
