I just received this cookbook this week and I already love it! It is practical for the busy mom and a very easy read. I had done some searching on the internet and tried some things on my own cause I wanted to save money and give my baby healthy food w/out the unnecessary additions but this book gave me more practical advice and helped in some areas that I still needed some assistance. For instance, I never thought about checking for no salt content on frozen veggies (I had to buy a different package to make my baby food after I read that & I checked the ones I had.) This book is definitely a great tool for any mom. i even bought a second one to give as a gift.

This is a great, easy book for parents who want to feed their babies and toddlers healthy, fresh, INEXPENSIVE food rather than buying store bought baby food that is overpriced and full of junk your kid doesn't really need. (and did I mention making your own baby food is much cheaper?) This book has practical advice and is not too overwhelming or too time consuming to read. One look at bright green, sweet smelling, homemade pureed peas compared to puke colored, nasty smelling Gerber peas in a jar and you'll be totally convinced. So will your baby. :)

My son is three months old, so I bought this book in advance of his eating solid food. I can't wait to try out these recipes and ideas! The author offers clear, easy to follow steps and provides a wealth of information on how to prepare the food and when to offer different kinds of food. The pictures are inspiring, and the layout of the book makes tremendous practical sense. I appreciate the "from one mom to the next" spirit. Here's a book for real people written by a real person. I feel as if I'm in conversation with the author who offers the advice of a mom in the know. I'm so glad I have this book on hand!
