**A Top Pick** --  5 Stars by The Romance Reviews

"With bears, road rage, costumes at a comic book convention, plenty of hot men, and the always awesome Edna to keep things interesting, EASY LIKE SUNDAY MOURNING is a great follow-up to the first book and a chance to see all our favorite characters in hilarious action again. Unlike the standard definition of cozy mystery, the Page Turners series lets things get a little steamy at times, without going over the top, and I think that works great for those of us that prefer our romance less sanitized. The series is perfect for lovers of romantic comedies, cozy mysteries, and contemporary romance with a fun side, and you can bet I'll be binge-reading the rest of the books just as soon as I can get my hands on them! -- 5 star review by Fic Central

"I love these ladies. They are so funny. Definitely some laugh out loud moments mixed in with a little mystery. The characters are good people you can root for and would be friends with in real life. Smart, strong and witty. This is a well-written series for all chick-lit readers or anyone who enjoys light mystery with lots of humor." -- review by Crystal-Rain Love- Amazon Reviewer

"I loved, loved, loved this book.
Easy Like Sunday Mourning takes Jennie Marts' Page Turners series up a notch. If you haven't discovered this series, do yourself a favour and start from the beginning with Another Saturday Night and I Ain't Got Nobody. In Easy Like Sunday Mourning, the characters I met in Another Saturday night continue to grow as they unite to solve a murder mystery. It's a delightful, intriguing and romantic story which focuses on Maggie as she falls for Jeremy and learns to trust again. Jeremy is sexiest nerd you're likely to come across. Honestly, I had to fan myself a few times.
Marts is a beautiful and clever writer - her characters pop off the pages and the LOL moments are many. I can't wait to read Edna's story next."

"I love the way Jennie Marts writes - full of fun, adventure, comedy and romance. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the cast of characters who make up the circle of friends and book club known as the Page Turners, I have laughed out loud through most of it, have been kept hanging on the edge of my seat at the suspense, and have enjoyed the romantic interludes contained within. I am excited to read the next one when it comes out!"  --review by Leslie Matthews - Amazon Reviewer

From the Author

Dear Readers:
Welcome to the
Pleasant Valley Page Turners Book Club. This series is about a multi-generational book club who search for clues and romance...while eating really great desserts! Each story highlights a different woman in the club and each book is full of romance, mystery, and fun.
So come on in, grab a cookie, and hang out with Sunny, Edna, Cassie, Maggie, and Piper.
My hope is that by the end of the first book, you'll feel like part of the club and the Page Turners will be like old friends that you want to stop in and visit again and again.
Happy Reading!
Jennie

Great book! The first in the series, "Another Saturday Night and I Ain't Got No Body" got me hooked. The characters are hysterical, the mystery is good. Jennie Marts' style of writing is just what I like. Sassy, fun, and funny. I find her as good, and funny a writer as Janet Evanovich, one of my favorites.

I love the way Jennie Marts writes - full of fun, adventure, comedy and romance. This is the second book in the Page Turners series (the first being "Another Saturday Night and I Ain't Got Nobody") - which I also highly recommend. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the cast of characters who make up the circle of friends and book club known as the Page Turners, I have laughed out loud through most of it, have been kept hanging on the edge of my seat at the suspense (in this case, a murder and a couple of attemped murders), and have enjoyed the romantic interludes contained within. I am excited to read the next one when it comes out!

I'm choosing this book as another 5 Star rating due to the continued excellence Jennie Marts provides in this delightful series. From hilarity to despair, this second novel of Marts kept me on the edge of my seat wanting more. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with "Monday".

I had a perfect mother's day weekend, and hope you did as well!

For starters, I finished reading this fabulous book by Jennie Marts. Style-wise, Marts' women's fiction reads like a cross between a Janet Evanovich and a Sue Grafton novel.

Marts witty, and face-paced novel, truly is a page turner! Humorous and engaging, I fully enjoyed my moments of escape, tucked away with this 'cozy mystery'. Marts is a talented writer who will keep you guessing 'who done it?' right up until the end.

Of particular note, I hope to see more of the "Page Turner book club" in future books, especially the character Edna, who is a both a hoot and a holler. Finally, I will never again look at a 'porta potty' without giggling!

After reading this one, I picked up Marts' first novel: Another Saturday Night and I Ain't Got No Body (A Page Turners Novel) in anticipation of another great read.--Eileen Slovak, author of SECRET AGENT OF GOD

Maggie Hayes, divorced mother of two, is just beginning to dip her toe back into the relationship pool. As a closet video gamer, she is delighted when she meets Jeremy Rogers, owner of the video game production company that designed her favorite game. After dating for a few months, Maggie can feel her defenses relaxing, and she realizes just how much she cares for Jeremy. When Jeremy’s employee is murdered, and he becomes a person of interest, Maggie and her friends start their own investigation. They’re determined to clear Jeremy and find the real killer.

Easy Like Sunday Mourning by Jennie Marts is the second book of her Page Turners Novels. It is such an enjoyable read. All the members of the Page Turners book club that were introduced in the first book are back. What a great cast! The women in this book club are such good friends. They are funny, fun, and very loyal to one another. Although this book is more romance than mystery, the mystery is solidly crafted. I loved the humor and chuckled my way right through to the end. These characters are just so appealing—I found I didn’t want to put this book down and read it in one sitting.

Now, I am hoping the author reads this review because I have a request. I’m getting quite attached to Officer McCarthy and would love to see
Ms. Marts find someone special for him. (Can’t hurt to ask, right? LOL) I’m looking forward to reading Book 3. If romantic comedy is your thing, give this book a try. Happy reading!

Maggie Hayes has started dating again. After being married to Chad the cheater for 18 years she is now dating Jeremy Rogers. He is a good looking nerd who owns Rogers’ Realms - a video game production company. A weekend in the mountains is cut short due to the death of one of Jeremy’s employees. Jim Edwards, a programmer at Rogers’ Realms, was found in his cubicle by another employee. It turns out that Jim was poisoned. The police are asking questions and Maggie goes into lawyer mode. The members of the Page Turners book club rally around Maggie. It is not long before the police think Jeremy is a very good candidate for prime suspect. Maggie’s has some other problems to contend with: an ex-husband moving back in and finding out some devastating news. Maggie had better be very careful solving this murder. She might just get overruled.

Things to ponder: Will Maggie ever get Chad to move out? Is someone after Jeremy’s new game? Was Jim Edwards giving information to a rival company? Just what is Charlotte Foster after?

This is the first book I am reading in the Page Turners cozy mystery series. It will not be my last. I enjoyed the light-hearted tone of this mystery. It was laugh out loud funny. Imagine fighting off a huge bear with rolls of toilet paper and taking to an outhouse for shelter. I love the characters and how the members of the Page Turners book club (they range in age from 18 to 80+) band together to help each other and provide much needed support. This book pulled me in right from the start and held me until the very end. I needed to find out what happened next and see if I figured out whodunit. This is a well-plotted read that quickly became a page-turner. I can’t wait to see what Jennie has planned for the next book in this delightful series.
