Great debut album from people who truly know what Reggae music is all about. I look foward to more releases from Rob Symeon and Ossie Dellimore.

Ok I reviewed Dub Side of the Moon not too long ago, and decided to try this one out after seeing the band play live. I love the set of original songs but they were sold out of this CD at the show. Now I have it and have keep it in the car for the past two weeks. I was wondering what it would be like since it was released in 1998, I worried it is was going to sound dated or not. Instead, what I found was music that is timeless. Though I did not recognize any of these songs as ones I heard at the show, they all have stuck in my head since I started playing the CD. My favorites are Time Has Come, Ossie Dellimore has an amazing Peter Tosh type thing going on there. And Anything For Jah by Rob Symeonn is just beautiful. If you are a fan of Dub Side, check this one out, the Easy Star All-Stars are much more than just a cover band.

Easy Star Volume One is as original as they come. Live music with singers and Djs flexing on ORIGINAL riddims. Greats such as Sugar Minott, The Meditations, Sister Carol, Sluggy Ranks grace the album along with new stars like Rob Symeonn, Ossie Dellimore and Gary Pine. Some great dubs on here too.
