What fun! This new book from Geography Matters is just the thing for adding spice to your world studies! (Pun intended.) The author has selected thirty countries around the world and put together a simple three-course meal from each, with foods that are traditional in that country's culture. Though a number of the recipes are exotic, they use ingredients that are pretty easy to find on North American grocery shelves. Countries in the continents of Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and Australia are represented, plus New Zealand. I can vouch for the authenticity of several recipes that are already in my repertoire, which bodes well for the rest, I should think! Most of the unfamiliar recipes sound fun and appetizing, and reading through them I was able to easily follow the steps. --Eclectic Homeschool Online
We've used this cookbook in combination with our world studies as a kick off or grand finale to any particular place study and so far we ve enjoyed everything we've tried its a winner! --Life Ventures Blog
