Good book and very handy !!
This book had a lot of words I never needed because I already knew them, and none of the words I did need. I don't even have a "this one time it had the word I needed and narrowly avoided eating _insert random organ here_" story. I'm actually kind of sad, because we typically avoided places that got a lot of tourists (i.e., all the places listed in this book) so English was hard to come by, and I admit even _I_ was intimidated by some of the less obviously described dishes. My husband stuck to poullet roti and hamburgers without the bun, which are everywhere and easy to identify. In the end, a REAL dictionary would have helped much more.
It probably would be more helpful for people who didn't speak French at all and don't have super adventurous palates.
