This switch (at least with the saains handler) doesn't get notified of device status changes, so it may be necessary to tap a button twice to turn a device on or off. That is, if a controlled device is switched by another means, this controller doesn't know -- so two taps may be required to change a device state. The indicator lights on the Aspire do show the status that it assumes each device to have.
As the Eaton documentation explains, you must hold the "All Off" button for two seconds to send the off command to the controlled devices.
It's nice-looking, and has a high quality look and feel.
I think this is the best multi-button Z-Wave controller currently available - the Jasco 45631 (recently discontinued) has the same status sync problem as this, needs batteries every few months, can't be mounted in a regular wall box, has programming buttons on the face, and doesn't have the quality feel of this device. The Leviton VRCZ-M04 doesn't seem to have SmartThings support.
If there's a secret to getting it to pair, I'd love to know what that secret is.
I'm looking into contacting Cooper to get engraved buttons!
