The X3 is a variation of the popular X1A1 model, and incorporates a tactical weapon-sized scabbard in place of the X1A1's smaller scabbard. The LoDrag packs have a unique contour shape that tapers at both the top and the bottom, giving the pack an excellent close-to-the-body ride. They are fully compressible with pairs of side-mounted compression straps that draw the load upward to optimally position the pack's contents over the wearer's center-of-gravity. Well endowed with PALS/MOLLE compatible webbing, the pack is easy to accessorize, with ample space on the interior and exterior panels for attaching an array of accessory pouches.

The first question I had was to make sure it would fit my rifles. I've placed a SR-25 clone with a 40mm scope bell and a full 20 round magazine, a Remington 700 with an AIAX chassis and 50mm scope bell, and a custom 308 in a Manners T4A stock an EBR and 50mm scope bell as well as a 10 round magazine, all with no problems. My rifles are all 20" barrels and with the shorter barrels the stock sticks out 6 inches on average. It's more than capable to handle longer barrels though, probably up to 26" on a bolt gun.
As for storage capacity I load it up with, a Mark 4 spotting scope with a compact tripod, map case with rangefinder and Kestrel, PVS-22, PEQ-15, hats, gloves, and shrouds, a shooting sock, extra batteries, a small breaching kit (key hole saw, prybar, pruning shears, and glass punch), 10' of rope, and some D rings. On the outside of the bag the molle allows for many more options including pistol mag pouches and ammo saddles. There is also molle inside the bag and one mesh pocket for organization. You can also adjust the inside divider to allow for larger items. It also has pouches on the sides and a slot for a camelbak for water options.
For hunting it will hold much of the above minus the night vision equipment. It will hold cold weather clothing and field dressing gear.
The handle options make this pack easier to move around than my Gunrunner pack. It has a handle on the top as well as one on each side making it easier to lug around when not on your back. The straps are well padded and long trips are easy on the shoulders.
I love the pack and it does everything you could want. I would like a slightly lighter color scheme for the area I'm in but the Uni-Cam dry-earth option solves that problem.
The only thing I've run into is if you carry an M4 as well, you must remove a 30 round magazine to place it in the scabbard when you switch to the long gun. A 20 round magazine solves this problem.
However somehow, half of the main waist buckle is missing. I don't remember if it was there or not when I took it out of the package, but when i put it on saturday morning it wasn't there so I couldn't fasten the waist. I can't say for sure i didn't lose it some how, but it is a bit concerning that it is missing. I hope somehow I can get a replacement buckle.
Odin would respond with "Here son, and you can even fit Mjölnir in the back when you wanna just throw hands. And it can even fit 2 large breasted viking chicks in the rest."
