If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind read, The Echo Factor is the perfect solution—it's as if you're picking up someone's old journal and as you flip through it, there are inserts that add even more depth to Kinda's words.
Kinda's snark keeps you laughing, while her sheer brilliance in all things science keeps the pages turning. She talks about different experiments that left an echo, like Daisy the duck (the duck whose quack echoed), the Candid Camera experiments in the elevator, and little Albert, who grew afraid of fluffy animals—these real-life stories, these observations all point to an echo.
Every story, every experiment, every exercise comes together to ask, "What kind of echo will you create?"
The content is simultaneously funny, reflective, and urgent. Though I was initially wary of the paper inserts, they came to feel like little gifts from the author, signposts on the way. The Echo Factor brought me face-to-face with the many ways that I have, in the course of my life, gone along with a wrong majority out of fear or conflict-avoidance. It's an invigorating, generous read. If you experience this book, you will learn something, and while it's hard to know whether it will be about the world or about yourself, it will probably be both.
It is beautifully made...and made not just to read, but to EXPERIENCE. Bits and pieces will literally fall out and grab your your attention...but even more, this book will grab your heart. It is written by a real writer, someone who experiences things and deeply sees and then shares them in way that touches deeply and moves you.
Get this book...it is truly something special. You will be blessed by reading it.
