I was so excited that these said they were compostable and I bought into the description of the 100% plastic free. I was so sad to get them and read that they have sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate in them. These are not natural and, in fact, "nasty chemicals" that can cause skin irritations. Will be returning immediately.

Profound chemical smell

I got these wipes for the bottle-fed kittens I foster. Usually I get unscented, mild baby wipes to help clean the kittens up after eating and pooping, as their mother would. These wipes have a pretty strong chemical smell right out of the package, almost offensively chemically (not a vinegar smell, but something that smells like an industrial cleaner). They also seem to burn the kittens' skin, making them shy away, especially around their butts and mouths, which is 99 percent of the cleaning I need wipes for. They feel mild enough on my human skin, but again, smell terrible. I used them a few times to see if it was just the unfamiliar smell, but they never liked them so I got different wipes and put these aside for some other use.

The package is entirely plastic, and the wipes themselves appear to by typical synthetic fiber wipes; if you are interested in reducing your plastics, these will not help you much with that.

Do not buy these for your children toxic

These have Propanediol which is Propylene glycol which is toxic. Especially for a baby/child. Now of course it is approved to use in products if in very small % only, however when it is in everything you use - cosmetics, shampoo, conditioner, lotions, dish soap, laundry soap etc you get the idea so now you are using it in high doses which is absorbed through our pores and we absorb equally as well through or pores as if we were drinking it. And for a baby/child this is even more detrimental because their cell structure is not developed enough to have any resistance. So please read ingredients if you do not know what they are look them up. It very easy to stop using these products that manufacturers put toxic chemicals in to safe a penny and get a patent instead of using something natural.

I wanted so much to like these wipes. I love the idea that I was leaving a smaller footprint by using these but they are a terrible product. 1. The wipes stick together. When you are cleaning a big mess, it takes forever to take them apart. Or you end up using way more than needed. 2. They fall apart easily. It decomposes in your hands while you are wiping a big mess, leaving you with crap on your hands. Disgusting. 3. I tried to use the wipes for post meal time and there’s a weird scent. For something that is supposed to be chemical free, it smells pretty odd and so I don’t use it on my child’s face/hands anymore. So if I can’t use it on his butt, face, poor hands, what else can I do with this? Good question!!!! I feel bad trashing them because it’ll be a waste but I hate using these.

Not just for bottoms

I first purchased these wipes in the late winter of 2020 for adult use to augment our toilet paper supply. They're gentle and work well. They cause no plumbing problems. However, I also use a CPAP machine and mask, and ran out of wipes for the mask, and tried the wipes for that purpose. They work extremely well for that use, too! The wipes are larger than needed for a mask wipe, so I use a kitchen knife to cut the entire stack of wipes in half and store them in a plastic container. They keep my mask cushion clean-smelling between washings and leave no residue on the silicone or plastic. I'm sold on this product, both for its original use and the one I discovered incidentally.

I used Seventh Generation wipes because I loved their size, their toughness and there were no fragrances. However, my husband was unable to use them as he felt that they left residue (I did too, initially, but maybe I got used to it?). Anyway, decided to try Eco by Naty because I no longer saw SG on Subscribe and Save. Well, what do you know? No residue! So though hubby is not into using them as I do, he does utilize them when he feels the necessity to do so. So Eco is on our S&S subscription. Still - love the Seventh Generation wipes too.

Can’t get just one wipe

I was a little apprehensive about buying this brand at first, but they turned out to be perfect baby wipes. There is just the right amount of wetness to them, they're a little bigger than regular baby wipes making them easier to handle when dealing with a squirmy baby. The only thing I wasn't happy with was the scent. It was a light scent, barely noticeable unless you have a sharp nose like mine. If the company makes them in unscented, please put me on your list!
