Product Description

100% HANDMADE IN THE U.S.A. This lot contains six 100% wool dryer balls made by "A Little Green Bee". They are completely made out of wool, inside and out. We use wool roving to form the ball. They are a little larger than the size of a tennis ball and will shrink slightly over time. They are "All-Natural". All natural means that this product is 100% free from any synthetic fibers. These cute little felted wool balls are designed to reduce drying time, soften fabrics, cut down on static, decrease lint, and reduce wrinkles. Because they are reusable, you will never need to purchase fabric softener or dryer sheets. And unlike other wool dryer balls made from yarn, they will not unravel and will last for years. Over time your Wool Dryer Balls will develop pills on them (If they bother you- just run a sweater depiller or light razor over them to remove pills). These balls last for years and the more pilling the better. Pills = softer clothing because there is more surface friction. They get better with age. Put away those chemical dryer sheets, protect your family and the environment, and go green with natural dryer balls!

...don't order only 3 if you don't have some already. I have four from this seller, and am going to order a few more. If you haven't purchased any dryer balls yet, buy this product instead.

I don't separate my fleece from the rest of my laundry, and yet these balls have done a great job of reducing static by about 85% (which is why you'll need more than 4 - the more balls you have, the less static you get). Although I thought I might, I don't hear them in the dryer, and they actually do reduce drying time.

The combination of these little balls and some soap nuts have, miraculously, allowed me to go completely chemical free with my wash load.

I bought one set of these because they were the cheapest I've found. Loved them so much I bought a second set! Now I use both--so 8 balls total for each drying cycle. Works great! I also had a great experience with this seller, so I wanted to make sure to add that to the review. Initially the seller included a care sheet that was personally signed. I love receiving items that are so clearly marked from a small business. I could tell this seller liked attention to detail and was truly ready to answer any questions I had. I will definitely look for items from this seller in the future because of the customer service and great prices.

Update a few years later:

These wool dryer balls are still going strong. I'm super impressed by how much I've saved by using these over dryer sheets. They consistently cut down on the drying time for my clothes. They are a little loud in the dryer with smaller loads but it's not a bother. They do get fuzzies on the outside after continued use, but it's easy enough to use a fabric shaver to shave them off if they bother you. The great thing about these is that they keep going and if one goes missing in a fresh basket of laundry, it's not missed too badly in the current load drying.

I'd still recommend these dryer balls and this seller is just wonderful. Great product. Can't recommend enough!

These are very nice -- soft and well-made. Not just a ball of yarn like some dryer balls I've seen for sale. I got them today and used them in a load of cloth diapers, and I do think I noticed a difference in drying time. Shipping was super fast as well.

I've been using them for a month now and they work. I previously used the plastic version. These are much better. I'm wearing a pair of cotton sweat pants now and they feel as soft as they need to be.

Started making my own laundry detergent a couple of months ago to save money so I started doing research for home-made dryer sheets.
Then I came across wool dryer balls.
I read how they can cut your drying time anywhere from 20% to 45% and that you could use them up to 1,000 times.
So I searched for them here on Amazon. Found these and decided to give them a try.
They came in a 3-pack including a little netted lingerie type storage bag and an instruction and suggestion sheet. I do not suggest putting the little storage bag in the washer. I did and some threads began to unravel. I would hand wash and hang to dry.
When new, they do have some loose fibers so I washed them before using. Since we like scented dryer sheets, I added a couple of drops of fragrance oil to each ball before drying a load of my son's work clothes.
They came out smelling great! My son came home from work and said he got dirty and sweaty at work but his clothes smelled good all day.
Depending on the fabric of your clothes you may still have a little static after drying. Next time, I plan on using a small dab of hair conditioner on the balls to see if that helps.
The instruction sheet also says that once your dryer balls begin to pill it will help to cut down static.
3 balls are fine for small loads or loads with light items but for medium to large and loads with towels you will need 4 to 6 balls.
I plan on ordering more and keeping track of just how many drys these will actually last. So far, so good.

I bought 3 wool dryer balls that are large for a little over $12. I love the way they dry my laundry. I have reduced drying time and my clothes are soft. Up until about a month ago, dryer sheets and liquid fabric softener had been all I had ever used. I stopped using dryer sheets because of the film they leave on clothes. I stopped using liquid fabric softener sheets when I found out about dryer balls because fabric softener is so expensive.

After my sister shared her experience and I read good reviews for myself, I figured I'd give them a shot. I do however have a large laundry set and feel that more than 3 will dry the laundry even better. They have had minimal shrinkage if any. I bought unscented wool dryer balls but there is an option for buying scented ones or scented oils to put on them.

I'm very satisfied with drying my clothes with wool dryer balls.

Love these things. Used chemical-laden dryer sheets for years and researched some alternatives. Didn't want to use tennis balls due to their chemical content and their weight. Found these through some web searches. I use 3 at a time and sprinkle each one with some essential oils to give my clothes a nice natural scent. My clothes dry faster and come out soft and wrinkle free (and most importantly, chemical free). I'll never use anything else.
