How to Use

Shade & Define Brush: Apply shadow all over the lid with the shading brush then flip it over and use the defining brush to add depth to the eyes.

- Blend & Smudge Brush: Blend shadow to eliminate harsh lines with the blending brush, and use the smudge brush to create soft definition along the lash line.

Great set for beginners

These brushes are so soft! I think they're great, especially for beginners, because these brushes alone are all you need to achieve your basic look with eye shadow. I also love that the brushes each indicate it's intended use, right on the brush (the brushes are labeled Blend, Smudge, Shade, and Define). The only reason I didn't give a full five stars was because the brushes came a tad bit mangled, which was easily fixed by running some water on them. Definitely worth the purchase, especially for the price! I love this set and highly recommend.

Ecotools really knocked this out of the park with these brushes. The angled brush us great for lining the eyes and doing the brows. The blending brush is great for the crease, I even use it to put color on the outer V. The smudge brush is good for smoking out the lash line and putting highlight on the inner corners of the eyes. The shadow brush is a bit too big for my eyes, but it works well. These brushes are so soft. I use these brushes every time I use eyeshadow, they are my favorite brushes out of my brush collection (and I'm obsessed with brushes). These brushes are great for both beginners or advanced users of makeup.

These brushes are fantastic! I started buying ecoTools brushes about 2 years ago. They were only somewhat more expensive than the brushes that I had purchased in the past, but they are a world apart in terms of quality and effectiveness. This kit had all the brushes I wanted to fill out my collection. I wanted an additional foundation/buffer brush - this one has a great sized one that helps blend powder foundation and add a finisher. The wider flat brush is perfect for concealer! The last three are great for eyes and lips.

I have very sensitive skin and many brushes I've had in the past have irritated my skin. These don't. The bristles are soft, but pick up and hold powder well. They also apply evenly. The bristles also stay put; I have not seen any loose bristles while using these brushes, even after over 2 years of use.

The case is pretty and can hold more than just these brushes. Although the case looks like a pouch in this picture, it actually folds and zippers up. The fabric cup at the bottom helps hold the case upright when it's open, so you have a place to put your brushes as you are applying makeup.

The handles are about the length of an average pen - not including the bristles, which is a comfortable length. The handles also have a nice finish.

I needed new travel brushes and saw these, the size, variety, and little case were cute so I bought them on the spot. I couldn't wait to try them out and they have more than exceeded my expectations. I used to use only Bobbi Brown and Sonia Kashuk brushes, but these are so much better. They're soft, apply product evenly, and they don't pick up too much or too little. I know some people don't like synthetic brushes but they wouldn't say that if they tried these.

These the perfect size for tossing in your travel bag or even pocketbook. And they variety you get is great too. So often sets will give you a few good brushes and then another few that are duds (seriously, how many eyelash combs does a girl need?) but all of these are winners in my book. This kit is worth far more than the $7 I spent on it, talk about bang for your buck!

These brushes are wonderful, especially for the price. Most good brushes are much more expensive but these are great quality for the money. I use these every day and they've done wonderfully. They are easy to clean and hold shadows well when applying. They are also good for applying shadows wet. If you dip them in water prior to picking up the shadow they do well with providing a deeper color.

This set of five EcoTools cosmetic brushes (and pouch) are a pleasure to use. Each has a bamboo handle and the bristles feel soft against the face. They pick-up and hold make-up well. And, they are made responsibly from top to bottom with use of renewable bamboo for the handles, recycled aluminum ferrule that holds the cruelty-free bristles.

The five brushes include an eyebrow and lash comb/brush, blush and three for use around the eye to apply shadow or brow powder, concealer and an angled liner. They are approximately 6 1/4 to 6 1/2 inches in length. The fabric pouch included with the set measures 7 3/4 by 4 1/4 inches and is quite flat. It takes up almost no room and helps keep the brushes in one place and free from dust, etc. Modestly priced and very pleased with the quality.

These both are amazing little brushes!
I use them everyday, they are my go to eyemakeup tools.

liner end on the one brush which is PERFECT for smoking out your eyeliner for that "yeah I slept in my eyeliner and still look fantastic" Look that is very in for those of us ladies who want a little Rocker Chick vibe, but on the down low.

The fluffy end of the other brush is just the softest- no sharp hairs to poke the delicate eye skin. it is fantastic for blending the colors without taking the color off your lids too much,

the two ends used for packing on the shadow I don't use as often- I normally use my fingers for putting on the color, but when I do use them they work well, picking up the color from my eye-shadow.

You can't go wrong with these little brushes- they pack well, clean well, and most importantly of all- they do their job well at making my eyes look less like a crypt keeper.
