On the one hand, even though several drawing books/subjects are included the book size stayed the same as a book containing only one subject. This means the drawings aren't much larger than a thumbnail. The size may not be the problem for adults as it would be for children. IMO the book should have been thicker so that the images could be larger.
On the other hand however, the drawings themselves are cute and it is nice that so many are included in the book. For those wanting to draw/paint miniatures, this book would be especially nice. I'm glad I own this book but if I was buying for a child, I'd buy each book individually rather than this much scaled down version of several books.
(When these books have been learned, and your artist is thinking of improving their skills they can try Mark Kistler's book next, then move on to books by Jack Hamm if they want to become a real artist someday.)
As an adult, I still love this book. I love it more now that it makes my son so happy that he can draw such neat things as castles, with dragons and knights in 2 minutes! A 5 year old or younger can easily draw many of the items in this book, as well as an doodle fan of any age. I give this my highest reccommendation!
