This jacket is amazing, extremely lightweight and comfortable and reasonably water repellant. It is honestly hard to believe how warm this jacket is for how light and thin it is, I can easily say it's warmer than jackets I have had that are 3-4 times as heavy and it is much more comfortable.
However, my jacket came with a loose thread. No big deal, I thought, until it started to unravel up the length of the whole jacket almost immediately when I put it on. I have attached a picture of what the thread looked like when I first unpacked the coat so you can see what it might look like when the problem starts. Replacement jacket is on the way, and I am sincerely hoping that I just had bad luck because Eddie Bauer has always sold quality in the past.
Basically, I wouldn't hesitate at all to buy this jacket. You'll love it. Just make sure you check your jacket over very carefully when it arrives so you can avoid having the same manufacturing defect that I did. I'm gonna give Eddie Bauer the benefit of the doubt and say this was a fluke, but definitely something to watch out for with yours.
