The Edge Of The World
12 tracks that expand on Dragonfly's capacity to move between musical styles, and despite being a rock album, this collection of songs has a distinctly indian touch to it, with numerous tracks featuring instruments such as sitars and tablas, as well as other Indian grooves and textures. With increasing songwriting and arranging contributions from the entire band, "Blind" finds Dragonfly in a confident voice with a distinctive sound entirely their own. The album comes in a beautifully printed book and it's bundled with a bonus CD with 9 slamming remixes. Drawing on some of the best known Asian underground DJs and producers from London, Bombay, New York and elsewhere around the world, the remixes all have a "desi" flavor, but range from all-out Bhangra and Bollywood funk mixes to dub and hip-hop desi versions.
