I discovered the writings of Amy Carmichael while stationed in Vietnam in 1970-1971. Her words fed my soul every day. Edges of His Ways is one of my favorites by her. Highly recommended for those fed up with the shallowness of contemporary Christianity.

This book by Amy Carmichael is a lost treasure from the past. Whether you get the first printing or the newest, it will be worth it. This book is written in the form of a daily devotional, spanning over one year. Amy Carmichael originally wrote it in the form of letters, notes, and advice to her friends and fellow-workers on the mission field. It draws the Christian closer to Christ.

I bought this book because I had recently read a biography of Amy Carmichael and I was interested in looking at her own writings. I have had the book for a couple years now and have gone through it more or less each year. It has been such a blessing in my life. The entries are pretty short but always pointed and so full of Carmichael's unique revelations on Scripture. I want to buy several copies and give them to friends as Christmas gifts. I know they will be encouraged by Amy's focus on Christ and the Word of God and her hope in Him for all she needed in her life. I highly recommend this book!

This book has been a part of my daily devotional life for 23 years! Every time I read it I am blessed by the insight of Ms. Carmichael which comes from a deep intimacy with her Savior. Amy's life is a testimony to God's grace and mercy and this book is filled with many of her moments alone with God in the years she lived on the mission field to India. You cannot but help to grow in your love and intimacy with the Lord through the reading of this devotional. Beware, there will be many blessings ahead as you do! I would give this ten stars if I could, but five will do!

Great short devotionals for each day to really get you thinking about who God is and how much He loves you. Written by Amy Carmicheal while she was bedridden from injuries in India while she continued to manage the orphanage she had run for years, she finds encouragement even in what seems to be very discouraging circumstances, all because she draws close to God. Very inspiring!

This is a great book for daily devotionals. My brother recommended it to me ad even though this was written over 50 years ago, Amy Carmichael had some wonderful insights to the Scriptures. I would highly recommend it!

An excellent book. I have been reading it myself for over a year now (ebook version) and recently purchased several paper copies to share with friends. Amy shares some very deep and thought provoking insights into who God is and His ways for His children. Sometimes the language is a bit old fashioned but obviously what was used in her era. A great resource for if you want to deepen your relationship with the Father!
