This story is about a reluctant Earl H who avoids taking charge of his responsibilities of the family estate at his older brother’s death. Instead he travels the world and becomes wealthy on his own. H is brother to Miss Primm and travels to accompany her during Christmas. But there is a massive snowstorm and he barely makes it to the school. h is a teacher of decorum and manners and Assistant Director at the school. She experienced a broken betrothal after many years and 4 missed wedding dates due to her mourning various members of her family. She has since given up her hopes of a husband and a family. Miss Primm leaves the school to visit her mother who is ill and leaves h to fend for herself during the holiday. The H bardges into the school during the snowstorm and scares h half to death. Unfortunately he has a slash on his arm and she nurses him back to health during his fevers and sewing his cut with H direction. Once H is healed they begin to get to know each other and because they are attracted to each other they make love ❤️ Unfortunately a fellow teacher and student come back early and find her in the act. There is a lot of confusion and they both realize they must marry. They all travel to H estate to announce the their betrothal. Unfortunately they find he seems to be already betrothed to his dead brother’s fiancé. There’s more complications and she flees to her aunts townhouse in Mayfair to begin again alone. The house is in a disorganized state and she sleeps for 2 days until he gets her head together and begins setting things to right. After settling things at his estate he goes off to find h at the townhouse after first searching for her at the school. They finally get together and marry by special license and have their HEA. It was a cute book and very likable characters this Series is lovely.

For years, she had been certain of the rightness of her path, she is not condescending but she has been breed and raised this way, so to acknowledge everything she thought is not the only road for a woman of her class, it is quite a turnover and unsettling for Miss prim and proper.It will take her to be stranded at first alone to realize how ill-equipped she is to face the harshness of life without the security of others to shield from the difficulties and household cores.It is eyes opening for her to see of how untaught she is, as even the man she shelter from the storm, a lord, knows more than her.Yet this experience is the adventure of her life as she will learn more about herself than she had ever dreamed.Piers is a man who follows the wind, going when and where he wants, having washed his hands of his domineering father and his demands. Like the title lets slip, it is a tale of learning and maturing.
