Machen writes in a style very easy to understand (so if your were scared off by The Virgin Birth, fear not to read this one), and yet he is eloquent and pointed. I found myself wanting to underline almost every sentence, as each made up such a profound quote. Then it is spiced by a bit of appropriate humor and interesting anecdotes.
I highly reccomend Education, Christianity, and the State to any Christian willing to learn - whether teacher, student, leader, or simply citizen.
There is some overlap between some of the chapters, as he used similar illustrations and lines of reasoning in similar addresses given to different groups. I guess sometimes we need repetition :-)
Highly recommended, for more than just a view of education, but a good espousal of a limited federal government. It makes me wonder what would he say today !
