Love this item and it is perfect for creativity and fine motor skills. The cards and perfect for my three year old niece.
The three year old instantly started mixing the colors and like play dough it is hard to separate. After awhile we just gave up and let it be a huge mix of colors.
Never dries out is a plus.
I wish this item came with a carrying case. The item only comes with a case that just has a peel back thing that’s plastic and that is not resealable.
Some of the small balls in the item do sometimes get separated and were on the floor. They are easy to clean up.

Great sensory toy and learning tool!
We love it! This is the second set we got, the first one was melted, the second a gift and I was hesitant to unpack it but my kids already saw it. They loved it! Since I read the other reviews, I put a sheet under the kids table to protect the carpet. It’s easy to shape and separate, but once the different colors touch, they do mix really quick. We keep them in the tray they came in, they don’t dry out. They didn’t stain our white table and it was a great sensory toy for my 2 and 4 year old (close supervision required). Yes you can learn numbers and shapes without it, but it does help to learn with different media. My son had problems with the number 2 (which direction to write it) after doing them with the play foam, he got it! Plus the little one got to play with a different sensory media! We love it and would gift it too!

My kids really enjoyed squishing it around and had fun playing with it. My four year old had a tough time molding it to make the shapes. I was not the biggest fan of how messy it gets. Little pieces of it seemed to come off all over. Also, if you see my picture, there is one that isn't in the nice holder so it all need to be taken out and put into separate bags. If it touches another color it will stick to it so it mixes very easily even having just two colors out. Over all, cute and fun, but not the biggest fan.
