I bought this for my son for Christmas because he had one before that he loved and we lost. I bought this because it was a good price and I was ordering a bunch of other stuff on Amazon. We finally opened it today and it was a mess. So much so that he couldn't shape anything. My husband then tried, thinking maybe my son was just having trouble. Nope. Too messy to even work with.

This is nothing like floam, don’t waste your money! The beads got EVERYWHERE and stuck to everything. The foam was dry and felt more like tiny beads held together by faith than anything else. I added some slime to try and make it better, but it didn’t work. The more you try to mold it, the more mess you make. I had to play with it over a trash can because of how much fall out there was, and in huge chunks!

The only thing this stuff succeeded at was frustrating me and making me want really marshmallowy Rice Krispie Treats (which frustrated me even more, since I don’t have them). My little girl and I give it a thumbs down. *thanks to those who tried to warn me. At least I got it on a decent sale (like $5.-something, so that takes the sting out a little)

The only thing my daughter and I found we could successfully make was a sticky mess of our hands. It’s pretty much impossible to form/shape/mold something, since this stuff sticks more to hands than itself. If you ever do somewhat form something, when you take your hands off of it, most of it just pulls away, so it can stick to your hands, instead.By KC Ramsey on December 25, 2018

We tried this after getting sick of trying to get playdough out of the living room carpet. This stuff looked as though it might be easier to clean up as the piece are a fixed size, they look like tiny little polystyrene balls, brightly coloured and mixed through with some sort of semi sticky mastic that gives the whole thing a similar feel to a rice crispy square. So far it seems like an improvement over playdough, as even though a small number of the small beads transfer regularly into hair and hands, they definitely do come out easily. The children find it mildly infuriating that the different colours stick together so well, even with only brief and accidental contact, but at least given the bead size, they can separated and regrouped with a certain amount of patience. The resolution of the crafted parts is very low, so you can't do fine detail and have to think big, but it doesn't seem to diminish the enjoyment.Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 16, 2019
As this was the first time we bought this product we tried the cheapest version we could find which didn't include any storage containers or travel cases - so time will tell if the bold 'NEVER DRIES OUT' claim holds true! Currently highly recommended, if you understand the limitations.
