My 2 yr old loved this set when we got it and immediately wanted to build basic cars with wheels. they are sturdy and hold up great. Great set for the price. He's not in the habit of putting things in his mouth or I wouldn't give him some of the smaller parts to play with.

Nice product but a word of caution.....
If you have the original brissle blocks that are stiff, these will not work with those. These ones have smaller brissles and they bend.

Purchased these for my home child care business. I thought they would be a great fine motor developmental toy for the children. They have MANY small parts. Too many choking hazards. It does say not recommended for under 3, but I don't believe I would let a 3 year play with these. I have removed all of the pieces that are extremely small and I am left with barely any pieces. Just be advised before purchasing.

The brix do not stick together well. My son became very frustrated when his projects fell apart immediately. I encourage him to keep trying, push them together harder, choose the right pieces. But, after I tried the blocks myself several times, I shelved them.
