From the Author
It's hard to choose a favorite chapter in this book (let alone a favorite book in the saga). Learning the rules and regulations to the most popular sport in Harrowbeth―Mallawum Ball―was a lot of fun. I smiled when Eena's competitive nature erupted during the first game she was exposed to. The rivalry that develops between the Viidun captain, Shanks, and Queen Eena is shocking but compelling. It is a surprise to discover a deeply-intertwined past for the three main characters―Eena, Derian, and Ian―accounting for the antagonistic interactions between the men. I love how the dragons become more essential to the story, and how they receive names and ancestry while their purpose begins to slowly unravel. But if I had to choose, I would say my personal favorite part of this book was getting to know Kahm Derian in a whole new light. It reveals another side to the man that endears him to Eena and quite possibly to readers.
This story will have you day-dreaming about Eena's adventures whenever you haven't the time to be reading about them!
