Excellent for beginners, and maybe a good reference for advanced practitioners.
Anyway... Thanks for reading and I hope this continues to help whoever is drawn to it. (I can't publish this note without giving a star rating, so I'll go with 4 which is currently the average.)
I have several books on essential oils, but this is the easiest book to reference which oils to use for a specific common condition or symptom. The explanation of how essential oils should actually be thought of as "phytotherapy" and optimal application methods makes excellent sense.
While I, too, doubt the quality of oils sold through multi-level marketing companies, and even most health food stores, I'm not sold on the Veriditas Botanicals brand she holds as the "best" -- their website does NOT offer a lot of exceptional information and one can't even place an order online. I agree with Patchin's suggestions of companies to avoid, but there are some online companies that are outstanding in their product knowledge, suggested uses and quality of products. This is really my only source of disagreement in the book.
Anyone who is new to using essential oils, or who would like to learn more about it, will find this book to be the most useful and most reasonably priced of the many essential oil books out there.
