Top Customer Reviews
Although these pictures can be enlarged easily, unlike the CD on Women's Advertising Cuts where the pictures are extremely small and do not enlarge without being destroyed (lines go to zig-zag), the resulting enlargements are still poor because the line quality and shading suffer terribly upon increasing the size.
I buy these CD's to use the pictures in monthly publications, among other uses, but to really keep the quality of the picture they must remain very small. This hampers my ability to use them in a flexible manner which limits their usefulness to me. Thus, two stars.
So far, the best - by far - of the Dover CD books has been Vintage Valentines. Those pictures are wonderful, and they are in full color. Plus, they can be enlarged without a loss of quality. If you want a superb CD ROM book look into that one and stay away from this one and the CD on Women's Advertising Cuts.
Note that the comparison above to "Egyptian Designs" here is NOT the "Egyptian Designs" by Carol Belanger Grafton (also a Dover publication). Her designs are unique and different from either of the books mentioned in this review.
