About Eileen Schuh
Canadian author, Eileen Schuh, is known for her thrilling elements of crime, sensitive treatment of social issues, and emotional exposure of the human psyche.
Schuh's most recent ebook release is the SciFi trilogy, Project W.Olf, with Book One being released just in time for Hallowe'en 2020. The rest of the series can be pre-ordered and will arrive over the next few weeks. Watch for the paperback edition, a combination of all three novellas in time for Christmas!
Between the Sun and the Rainbow is Schuh's first attempt at a novel for the younger set. Written as a tribute to her ancestors and a link to her grandchildren, this adventure is very loosely based on her own sparse childhood growing up on a farm and is suitable for children from Grades Two to Six.
The crime thriller, OPERATION MAXTRACKER, Book 4 is the latest in her popular BackTracker series.
It followed the release in 2017 of the second edition of The Traz (Book 1) with a spanking new cover, some edits, and a few pages of new material as well as a revamped FATAL ERROR (Book 2).
The first three novels in her gritty BackTracker crime series are THE TRAZ Book1, FATAL ERROR Book 2 and FIREWALLS Book 3. She is also the proud author of two other adult SciFi novellas, SCHRÖDINGER'S CAT and DISPASSIONATE LIES as well as the adult crime thriller, SHADOW RIDERS.
She is both traditionally- and self-published.
Schuh is honoured to have been invited to present her BackTracker novels as teaching tools to at-risk adolescents in venues such as the North Slave Young Offenders Facility and the St. Paul Alternate Education Centre. THE TRAZ includes a list of international resources to help those facing tough times. In addition, the School Edition includes a Teaching/Discussion Guide to encourage youngsters and the adults in their lives to explore social issues such as gangs, depression, decision-making, dealing with consequences, and developing a sense of justice. This guide, along with one for FATAL ERROR, are also available in downloadable pdf format from her website Reader's Discussion Guides

In one of her worlds, Chorie’s young daughter is dying—a drama that quickly contaminates her other, much rosier, reality. Before long, the emotional burden of dealing with two separate lives spawns heated legal battles, endangers her role as mother and wife, and causes people in both universes to judge her insane. As her lives begin to crumble, so does Chorie’s heart and mind.
When Dr. Penny, a man with disturbing, murky, hypnotic eyes offers to rid her of the life that’s causing so much pain, she must decide if she is willing to sacrifice the chance to be with her dying child for the chance to save her marriage and experience happiness.
She thinks she’s planned it well—she’s researched her choices, prepared herself for the consequences, put everything in place. She makes her decision. However....
Life, as it has the propensity to do, strikes back with the dark and unexpected.
It seems to wildlife biologist, Peter Kane that he’s entrenched in danger and embroiled in betrayal. His wolfen olfactory implant has unsettled him, changed him. He’s been away from his wolf research for far too long and his romance with Marie is much too elusive.
To Marie, her quest to unravel her past is leading to heartache and fear. She can trust nobody, including herself. When the investigation into the illicit lab that stole her memory wraps up, an unsettling truth emerges. In its wake, Peter wallows in anguish until a virtual guide gifts him a message and sets him free.
Wildlife biologist, Peter Kane, would much rather be in the wilderness studying his wolves but he’s committed to his role as a research subject for the Wainwright University’s Olfactory Project.
The extension of the project has left him short of cash so although things haven’t worked out between him and Marie, when the police need his nose for their investigation into her past, he reluctantly agrees.
His acute sense of smell proves invaluable and the investigation leaps forward. He’s hailed as a hero but when Marie suggests he’s a mere pawn in a dangerous conspiracy, he listens. She does, after all, have analytical skills comparable to a super computer.
Absolutely nothing, though, can prepare them for the stark truth.
Implanted with the wolfen olfactory gene as an experiment, Peter’s sense of smell has increased one hundred fold—but so have the dangers and among those dangers is Marie.
She’s a victim of an illicit lab where ghastly experiments have stolen her memory and altered her aging. She’s beautiful, vulnerable and needs his help.
However, when the genetically-modified meets the electronically-chipped, romance is a struggle...and there’s just no knowing what additional dangers lurk in Marie’s forgotten past.
Her mother takes her and her older brother, Jayson, thousands of kilometers from their Toronto home to the old family homestead on the Alberta prairie. Inside and outside of the rundown shack that is now home, everything is strange and frightening.
Her mother says they will connect with nature on the farm and begin to heal but to Danielle, it seems a very painful way to heal.
Little by little, however, she learns about herself, her ancestors, and what a family is all about. With help from her new community, her pets, and those who love her, she just might begin to find the peace and happiness she needs.
Fourteen year-old Katrina Buckhold is running from a fatal error she can’t undo. However, there’s no escaping the truth. Life demands she face the police officers who endangered her, The Traz bikers who brutalized her, and her own troubled conscience.
Grief, guilt, blame and betrayal. The repercussions from the successful undercover Traz operation weigh heavy on all who participated. Sergeant Kindle, who ran the sting, reaches deep for the wisdom needed to resolve his own misgivings and help his men heal. Some will make it through, others won’t. There’s something, though, they all come to accept—the damage they caused young Katrina will scar her forever.
However, Katrina Buckhold is of a different mind. Her secret, ambitions plans, though, could prove more deadly than the gang life she left.
The tremendous power of the defensive system the team is creating and the potential for its abuse, has computer guru, Katrina Buckhold, on edge. Shrug, Head of Project Security, is supposedly keeping everyone and everything safe, but based on her past experiences with him, she’s not confident he’s up to that task.
Katrina’s toughest battles, though, are not against those threatening cyberspace but against those who are concerned about her ability to raise her children, and Shrug’s not helping with that, either.
Then unspeakable tragedy strikes, stripping all friendships to the core and laying bare stunning truths behind the secrets, mistrust and fears.
Allison Montgomery is wrapping up a career as a successful entrepreneur when she’s brutally kidnapped and whisked to South Korea. To ensure her survival, she gradually forges a bond with Carbon, her smooth-talking but abusive captor, a bond that over time proves incredibly strong. A criminal record, death threats, counseling—nothing can convince Allie to betray her illicit lover.
However, a team of dedicated cops, an understanding lawyer, her ex-husband— there are those who persist in believing she can break free of Carbon’s hold.
She must; justice for six massacred men depends on it.
- An exploration of the emotional ties that trap women in violent relationships. -
She’s approached by Paul, an attractive FBI agent intent on recruiting her to an ultra-secret project. There’s only one problem—the asexuality she was born with thirty-five years ago, vanishes and she’s left struggling with the unfamiliar power of libido.
When everyone, from ungainly computer geek, Roach to handsome Paul, becomes appealing, Ladesque suspects the popular explanation for the female asexuality saddling her generation is a lie. Her suspicions increase when an encoded diary and whispered rumours link the affliction to conspiracy and murder. However, uncovering facts proves difficult in an age where hackers have corrupted all digital records.
Putting her quest on hold, she joins Paul’s project where her uncertainties are quickly overshadowed by the explosive technology and high-tech challenges of her job. Then, she receives her final assignment. She can either expose her mind to the potentially lethal quantum computer for the sake of the world or be forever a watched woman.
She, alone, must assess the risk—a risk that just might reveal the truth about her past.
Obsessed with haunting memories and wracked by emotions she can’t name, her nightmarish ordeal turns uglier as she ignores orders and takes to the street to lure the criminals from the shadows of cyberspace to face justice.
Imprisoned by dark thoughts and dangerous behaviours, it’s not until her career is in shambles that she realizes that neither her war against crime nor her struggle with Post Traumatic Stress are battles she can win alone. However, the walls she’s built to protect her heart from pain and betrayal, don’t tumble easily. As she slides deeper into the darkness, she fears she’s waited too long to trust and love; her criminal associates from the past are on the verge of stealing her future and Corporal Chad Leslie, who she’s loved since the beginning of time, is mere steps away from walking out of her life forever.
Shrug is a giant of a man with a voice of thunder and eyes of granite. He sports a tangle of tattoos, wears gang colours and straddles a Harley.
When he asks Katrina if she wants a ride, neither realizes her decision will haunt them both forever.
Life on The Traz biker compound is violent and horrifying and the price of belonging quickly becomes too steep. But for Katrina there is no way to escape until she meets Chad--an undercover cop with rich brown eyes, a gentle chuckle and a plan to get her safely out of the clutches of the gang. However, there's a problem.
Someone is keeping dangerous secrets from them both.
