This was a cute quick read. It was entertaining without getting too deep.

Nathan Wright is putting himself thru school by working in an online chat room. When his highest paying client asks for something specific Nathan will have to put aside his introvert ways to ask his party-boy neighbor Rory Jones. As one request leads to more, Rory and Nathan realize that first impressions can be deceiving and they have more in common than they thought. Nathan needs to decide whether he can put aside his fear of emotional attachment see where things lead. Rory is struggling to discover if Nathan only likes him in front of the camera because of the money or if his feelings are genuine.

This story was good. The banter back and forth between Nathan and Rory had me laughing out loud at times. If you're having a bad day this is a great pick me up.

This was my first read of Josephine Myles. I enjoyed it as a novella, though I think I'd have liked it better as a longer book so I could get to know Rory and Nathan better. I think I'd have been more satisfied if the story gave them more time to get to know each other outside of sex as well.
I enjoyed the humor and I'll be looking at some of her other books now as well.

A Scattered Thoughts and Rogue Words.com Review (A VVivacious Review)

Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars ★★★★★

Nathan is a gay cam model which basically means he does solo sex acts for money to pay for his education. But when his highest tipper wants a private show , Nathan is in a bit of a fix.

Rory is Nathan’s next door neighbour and when Nathan propositions him, he agrees because, who can turn down something like that? But before he knows it things get out of control and turns out he might be in a real danger of losing his heart if only, Nathan would return his feelings…

This is the most charming romance I have ever read. These two were just so cute they had me going aww… and between that and the humour, I had a big smile slapped on my face for the entirety of the book and that is truly saying something because Rory had me giggling by the end of the first paragraph and the smile on my face never dimmed from there on out.

Nathan is this adorable geek who takes everything literally, so he can be a bit dense at times and a little too sensitive at the others. But he has had his heart squashed in a previous relationship and doesn’t want to suffer from another hormonal imbalance (if you are unfamiliar by the term, you might refer to it by the name of ‘love’).

Rory is this adorable (yes he is adorable too, you can get why this book is so charmingly funny and cute and romantic!!) guy who made me smile throughout this book, with his actions and words. He is such a nice guy, I loved the way he was open to talking and how he was always smiling and also how he was always trying to get Nathan out of his shell, and trying to make him really enjoy life.

Nathan and Rory together were oh so cute and just fit so well.

Started off unusual and funny, glided into nice, though ordinary, story-telling. I appreciate that it must be hard for an author to keep to an even keel through an entire story, so this is not really a complaint as such.

I must admit I always love the geeky heroes and "Einstein" is so adorably clueless while still being bold and in charge. It's a fun combination. And I was also thrilled to see a new story from this author who I've always enjoyed.

“You what?” Surely he hadn’t heard that right. “Did you just ask how big my knob is?”
Nathan stuck his chin out. “I need to know.”
“Why does it matter to you?”
“B-because I need to perform f%#{atio on someone with an above average sized penis in the next ten minutes.”

I am never, and I mean never, disappointed in a Josephine Myles story. She's pretty much an auto-buy and/or auto-request for me, and there are many reasons. One of those is that she is so very British, and I grew up in a family that watched Fawlty Towers on the BBC, among other things. The humor in her books is incomparable, the plots are wonderful, the romances are hot and sweet. When you get right down to it, what more could I want?

Nathan and Rory are so different, at first glance. Nathan is a geek, no two ways around it, a certified geek with a black and white brain. Rory is a social guy, tattooed, he has friends, goes out, messed up his A-levels and his first job, etc. Rory also has a sweet center where he likes to cuddle, he doesn't take himself, or anything else, too seriously, and he has a wickedly funny sense of humor. Things that Nathan really needs in his life.

"Romance is a fairy tale made up to sell books and films to gullible consumers. And I don’t really see how the android analogy works. What we did was pure animal.”
“I suppose. But I think mammals like to hug afterwards.”

Poor Nathan. Yes, he is a socially awkward nerd who has difficulty interpreting body language, but he also got hurt pretty badly, and even though he's got feelings for Rory, he's terrified the same thing will happen again.
