This game might be great. It may do justice to the original Morrowind, have great music visuals, fun mechanics and a gripping narrative.
I wouldn’t know anything about that because, while I received it a full two days ago, I have yet to see the first frame.
Why? First a little background. My wife convinced me to play ESO during beta a few years back. Massive multiplayer games had mostly run their course for me by then, but I capitulated. Despite being a huge Morrowind and Skyrim fan (less so for Oblivion), it just wasn’t my thing at that time.
In any case I have an account that I’d like to continue using for ESO:Mo. Ahead of the games delivery, I regained access to my old account, having forgotten my old password. It’s still using the same old email address. So far so good. I downloaded the launcher and now I’m ready to go once the game arrives.
Wednesday June 7 in the afternoon the game arrives at my door. I punched in the redemption code. No email arrives. This seems odd, but I shrug and open the game. Now I need to enter an access code, because my computer is not recognized. This makes sense, but no such code is forthcoming.
I check in spam. Nothing. I try to log back into the website, but I must have a different IP address than the one I had earlier this evening because now the website doesn’t recognize my computer either. No access code email comes for this either. Perhaps their automated emails are churning out slowly. So I wait.
Thursday June 8 around 1 AM I file an Access Code Not Received ticket before bed. This is the first of three tickets have filed at the time of writing this. That ticket would receive no response.
Thursday June 8 in the morning I find a phone number for Zenimax and call them. It is a general line so I ask for customer service and my call is routed directly to voice mail. Calmly I leave all the information requested and explain the situation. In a few hours I make the fatal mistake of walking away from my phone for lunch and miss the call-back. I’m wondering as I write this what things would be like if I hadn’t given over to my animal weakness for nutrition. In the voice mail “Brad” suggests that I should file another ticket, this time for a Suspended/Compromised account but leave my “new” email address as opposed to my “old” one. This isn’t exactly the problem I’m having as there’s nothing wrong with my email address, but I think perhaps he’s got some inside knowledge about these ticket types, so I take his advice.
Thursday June 8 in the afternoon Brad’s advice pay’s off (sort of). I receive an email from support once again suggesting that I should not just change my email address, but use a different provider. Now I know for a fact that there’s nothing wrong with my email address. As noted above, I’ve been receiving not just support emails there, but automated ones too, right up until I typed in my ESO:Mo game code. So I reply, that if they insist, they can use this other address, which is still in my domain, but I don’t have another email provider.
Thursday June 8 in the evening I reply again on the ticket. Is there any word on this?
Friday June 9 11:30 AM I send another email. Could they give me some proof of life? If not I’m opening a new ticket.
Friday June 9 11:36 AM I get a reply! The problem is my domain, not the address. If I open a Gmail account (they’re free you know!), I can receive emails again, then I can change it back to whatever I want. OK so remember the part where I said I am still getting these bloody support emails at that address? And if the domain is the problem, why would I be able to change it ba—it doesn’t matter, just do what the man asks. I reply, with a newly-minted Gmail address so this bright young lad can end this fiasco.
Friday June 9 1:31 PM No magic yet. I send another email…Bueller? I fear the support staff has called an early weekend, or I’m buried in the queue.
Friday June 9 in the evening I file another ticket. A shout into the vacuum.
So that brings us to now. As far as I know ESO:Mo doesn’t actually exist. I’ve just fallen for an elaborate ruse to cheat me out of fifty bucks. Don’t be like me.

The nostalgia was heavy, and going through zones hits feels every time. Graphics are amazing, and the soundtrack is Elder Scrolls quality. Combat and controls are fine, like any game you just have to adjust/acclimate. That said, the UI and system controls are clunky and tedious. I know the inventory matches the PC games, but it feels ages behind in the MMO world.

Logging in might be the worst part. You have to watch/skip through 3-4 developer intros like it's the first time booting a new single player game - except every single time. The login screen doesn't allow/opt to save your password. Then, it's a 20-30 second wait for the character screen, and then another 20-30 second wait for the game to load. It's significantly longer than any other MMO on my same machine (WoW, FF14, GW2).

Finally, and this is more a personal issue, the reward for logging in every day is more of a punishment. It's based on the calendar month, and you have to have 100% attendance to get the big rewards at the end. But since it's calendar-based, if you miss a day, a single day, because you might actually have other things you do in life, you not only have to be reminded that you failed for the rest of that month, but then have to wait for the next month to see if you can log in every day without missing a single day. A GW2-type model of counting up the days YOU log in seems a bit more fair.

This product was delivered way earlier than I expected it to. The only reason I gave this product a four star rating is, there are always things to improve in anything. That being said , I really enjoyed the graphics of Morrowind and will continue playing it. This might be a total newbie thing to say but, I highly recommend using a physical mouse and not using the tracker if you're playing on a laptop.

I am so sorry I got this game. I wasted $30 on this thing. Where do I start? It's all keyboard play, you can't use your controller on the PC version. If you go to control settings, you should be able to toggle to a game controller. You can't. It's cumbersome. It didn't load from the CD, it was an online download that took almost 8 hrs. The graphics are pretty poor, not nearly as good as displayed on the ads. I played it for about 10 minutes and ended up so frustrated that I quit. I guess I expected this game to be the same caliber as Skyrim and it falls far short. It took me 11 times to create a login at ESO online. Count them, 11 times, I finally went in through Steam and STILL had to recreate an account an ESO, which took another 3 times to complete. Also, there's no way to save your password. You have to reenter your password every time you play the game or back out. The instructions for the access code that came in the case didn't match what was on the screen. Some may enjoy it, but after being spoiled on Skyrim (which I still play), I'd never recommend this game to an enemy, let alone my friends. Any games I see from Zenimax in the future, I will avoid like a pandemic plague. Please don't waste your money on this game like I did.

Been an online gamer since 1999 and Everquest. I love a game that I can sink into and have fun. My husband and I pair up and explore, run quests and do crafting. A well rounded game is very appealing, we can either just fart around killing and looting, exploring or get serious with questing. We even found a location that has 4 badgers, a snake and mushrooms =)

This game came with a physical copy and a digital code to redeem on your ESO account. (This was really important to me because I play on a PC with no native disk drive). This expansion is so much fun!
I highly recommend if you feel like you’re running out of things to do in ESO.
