I am an electronics engineer. Read this review before buying, and then, avoid buying.

I bought two of these and have 2 razors (e100 and 175, same thing basically). My kids ran their scooters about half dead. We plugged these chargers in, and the light was GREEN indicating fully charged. Interesting, frustrating, and suspicious. So I busted out my tools and dug in...

This charger outputs about 27v. The OEM Razor charger outputs about 29v (maybe more). This is CRITICAL. This 24v system requires at least 29v to properly, FULLY charge.

Bottom Line:
This charger might charge a _dead_ battery to about HALF capacity, but no further. It cannot charge to the batteries FULL capacity. Cant, wont, never will. Those of you who are using this charger and giving it rave reviews are being cheated out of the full use of your batteries and dont even realize it.

Details:
Razor 24v scooters have two 12v batteries in series. Remember that a 12v battery with a full charge sits around 13.5v, sometimes more. That means that at FULL charge, a razor should sit at about 27v or more. Now, in order to charge a battery, the charger must output MORE voltage than the battery itself. See the problem already? This charger simply does not output that much. Your car alternator (charger), for example, outputs about 14.5v to charge your 12v battery to 13.5v. x2 for your 24v Razor, that would mean you have a 29v output on your charger, to charge your 24v system to 27v. But, oops, this charger doesnt output 29v, only the OEM Razor one does. As mentioned, this CC2420 charger only outputs 27v and this is INSUFFICIENT to charge the batteries to full.

This charger is not only the wrong voltage it can actually create a whole lot of damages as I have learned. I bought this for the Razor MX350 as a replacement and the charger is advertised as "safe to use." IT IS NOT SAFE!!! This charger burned out the battery and the control module. I had the bike diagnosed by a authorized service center. It is now useless. Original parts from Razor would cost me $132 + $25 for shipping to fix the bike now. Neither Newgate nor Amazon want to take responsibility for this issue. You'll get your $11 refund but that's it. Do the math. Get an original charger. Do not get this garbage unless you want to have a useless bike and waste even more money.

We just now had the opportunity to use this charger, after purchasing it a year ago. We have needed to get batteries for a scooter that my mother owned. She have us the scooter and we had the batteries replaced. The charger works perfectly. The light turns red when the scooter is charging and it turns green as soon as it is ready to go.

This charger sucks, plain and simple. I plugged it up to charge my sons razor drifter that we lost the charger to and the light on the charger was red for ten mins and then it was green. We know from the previous charger we had that green means the battery is fully charged. Obviously the battery cannot fully be charged in ten mins. We left it "charging" until the next day and the drifter was never charged at all. Returned and got my $$ back.

This 24VDC charger is exactly what I needed although I am not using it for a scooter battery. It is a fine 24VDC charger for various DC battery configurations as it has sufficient voltage pressure to insure a full charge for lead acid battery technology be it wet or gel cell construction. An LED shows red while charging and becomes green a full charge. Two 12VDC batteries hooked up in series to make a 24VDC circuit can easily be charged with this device. Follow all safety recommendations of the manufacturer of course as required by law. A nifty compact charger!

STILL CANNOT FIGURE OUT TO INSTALL THE BATTERIES I HAD TO BUY FOR OUR SCOOTER. I'M SURE THIS CHARGER WORKS PERFECT. BUT THE REPLACEMENT BATTERIES ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT THAN WHAT CAME WITH THE SCOOTER.

This is just decoration for your bike!
They are not adjustable and if you manage to get them adjusted they will not stay in the position you put them in.
They are not safe to have or put on a bike so don't even think about buying them!
