I purchased this lamp from Electrified.com in July of this year. Yes, the bulb seemed to shine a bit brighter at first (much to my delight). But after two months the bulb started cutting off causing the tv to "reset". I contacted Electrified.com and was told to send the lamp back (at my expense of course) and they would send me another lamp. This they did but after two more months...the 2nd lamp went out also! So, I contacted Electrified.com again telling them that the replacement lamp had also burned out...I was told that the 90 day warranty was on the original defective lamp and even though after two months it burned out the original warranty continued on the replacement lamp.

Needless to say I am highly aggravated at Electrified for not standing behind their products!! If you need a lamp buy it from someone else that is willing to stand behind their products. I will NEVER do business with Electrified.com again...and I will let anyone who will listen to know the reasons why I feel that way!!

I will periodically update my review.

I ordered this lamp as a replacement for my original Panasonic LCD lamp that lasted just over four years. On Monday (January 17,2011) evening our original lamp exploded inside the TV with a rather loud bang. After reading the reviews I am still a little bit worried that this lamp (the new Electrified lamp) may not last as long as the original Panasonic lamp. I have been watching the TV for a little more than an hour and the colors seem much brighter than the old lamp, but I can't honestly remember how the TV looked 4 years ago.

For a little more than 50% cheaper than the Panasonic Manufacture Original I thought I would give it a try. I will update the review in 45 days, sooner if I have any problems with the lamp.

REVIEW UPDATE (April 04, 2011):
I have been using the lamp for just over two 1/2 months with absolutely no problems. I would still highly recommend this product. After using the lamp for a few days I had to turn down the brightness on my television but other than that the lamp has worked perfectly.

REVIEW UPDATE (June 22, 2011):
Lamp is still working. In May our Lamp Light on the TV came on and told us to replace the lamp. I reset the lamp timer again (I reset it when I installed the replacement). The Lamp has still been working perfectly since we installed it in January.

REVIEW UPDATE (March 16, 2012) :
The Lamp is still working without an issue.

REVIEW UPDATE (July 18, 2013):
My lamp is not turning on all of the time and when it does the picture is very dark. I just ordered a new lamp (same model) from Amazon to see if it corrects the issues. 2.5 years of use out of the lamp is very good for an everyday use television.

Though it was the correct lamp number as specified by Panasonic, the lamp itself did not fit like the original.

The original slotted in quite straight and firm. This replacement lamp stayed at a slight angle when slotted in. I put it in and took it out a number of times (even re-inserted the original lamp a number times for reference), but the replacement always stayed at a slight angle.

The TV worked when I first turned it on, but after a couple of hours there was a strong burning smell coming from the TV. I turned off the TV and opened the lamp access panel to find that the replacement lamp's male and the TV's female connectors had melted together. I pulled the replacement lamp out and a good portion of the replacement lamp's male connectors remained, melded to the TV. What remained on the lamp itself was just a melted blob.

Now, I must purchase a whole new TV.

I purchased this lamp from Amazon trusting the amazon and seller and didn't expect to see my lamp dies at 8 months only. The original lamp coming with TV lasted almost 6 years and just faded a bit and I decided to get a new one. After the purchase of this item from Amazon I immediately replaced the old one and the picture was indeed brighter. However, today we were shocked to see our new lamp had a sudden death, without any warning from lamp light feature of TV and all the sudden it died. I put the original old one back to TV and now we can watch TV again and it still works. I am extremely frustrated with this purchase both from Amazon and from seller. Really expected at least couple years, not just 8 months. Very disappointed. Don't waste your money buying from this seller. Awful quality.

I have been buying these with 2 on one order knowing that one would not last six months. Well, guess what? The first one lasted six months and the second one lasted almost 4 months. Unless your happy with that performance, then don't throw your money away like that. Go buy a new LED television and your bulb replacement problem disappears!

I bought my first bulb on January 30, 2011 and it lasted for almost 5 years from Electrified Discounters Inc. I was so satisfied. They deserve five stars for their product. The second bulb was purchased in January 12 of 2016 from Comoze Store and we received it two days later. I was so dissatisfied.

On Monday, April 18th, 2016 the bulb blew out. I was in the kitchen and I heard a loud pop. I walked into the living room to an unusual odor and had my son confirm what I was smelling. We realized the smell was coming from the TV. He opened the panel on the TV to find shattered glass inside. We had to remove the bulb and the part it was housed in and clean up the glass. We had the bulb for about 3 months.
I want a refund or a replacement bulb.
