I received this cookbook years ago and it sat on the shelf for at least 6 months before I tried a recipe. It was fabulous! Everything I've tried has been delicious and the szechuan chicken with peanuts is amazing. I've substituted tofu for the chicken and it was great, too. This cookbook is a must-have.

Have owned this for 30 years, and love its soups and stews. It finally fell apart, so when it came time to make turkey soup this fall, I had to buy another one. A durable gem, despite changing fashions.

This was my first cook book ever, and I still use about five recipes from this book. I've replaced it for me and bought it for both my college kids, even though it originated from the seventies. Wonderful meals throughout.

Love this cookbook and the recipes. There is something for everyone, from salads to soups, main courses and desserts. I wore out my first copy, which I've used for over 25 years. This is a great resource.
