This DVD also includes a bonus guided mediation which is also amazing. I am new to yoga, but I have practiced meditation a bit in the past and I found the guided meditation very positive and relaxing. I am so thrilled with this purchase and I truly highly recommend this DVD for beginners. Amazing.
The focus of this video is core, fundamental poses in Hatha Yoga and gives you enough of a routine that you can eventually do on your own. I followed this video for weeks before doing it on my pwn and found the lessons and tips really stuck with me.

I am a extremely stiff 72 year old who has never attempted yoga before and I like how the instructor slows it down and forgives my not approaching completion of the moves. Rather she encourages the attempt. Gives us a goal.
The two programs allow me to alternate from day to day so I can recover from any stiffness.
While not specifically intended for seniors, I believe by using common sense and patience it can be a great introduction to the yoga practice.

I have purchased other DVDs so called “ beginner” where the instructor assumes you know the poses and can cause frustration for someone just learning yoga

The two routines are actually designed for beginners, unlike a lot of so-called beginner yoga DVDs. The instructor is fantastic; she explains things well, goes at a good speed and is encouraging throughout. The production quality and filming is great, too. I feel like I can actually do this now!
