4 Element Bowtie HDTV Antenna
60 Mile Range
The DB4e Bowtie antenna uses patented technology to receive TV signals 60 miles away from broadcast towers. This antenna is ideal for suburban and rural areas where heavy foliage or roofing materials reduce the incoming signal. No other bowtie antenna can match its performance.
A Leader in Cutting-Edge Antenna Technology
Bowtie antennas have been popular for over 60 years and Antennas Direct designed a new breakthrough technology making these antennas smaller while delivering 2x the power and half the size of legacy bowtie antennas. In addition, the reflector focuses the antennas power for added range and also provides protection against multipath interference. Antennas Direct is dedicated to providing superior antennas supported by a lifetime warranty.
Set Up is Easy
Locate the broadcast towers serving your area at the official website. Place indoors, in the attic, or outdoors for best results. Connect one end of a coaxial cable to the antenna and the other end to your TV. Scan for the available channels using your TV remote control. Try several locations to find the best reception and remember to scan for channels at each location. Enjoy all your favorite local and network shows in Full HD 1080 where available.

Reduce Your Monthly TV Bill
You can now experience HDTV in the highest quality picture and sound available. Over-the-air broadcasts are transmitted in crystal clear Full HD 1080; far less compressed than what cable and satellite offer. Many local broadcasts are digitally aired in 5.1 Surround Sound giving you the ultimate sound stage for watching live television. With a digital antenna you can receive free local news, weather, kids shows, sports, cooking, shopping, and sitcoms from networks like ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, PBS, CW, ION, and much more with no cost or contracts. And broadcast TV won't be interrupted from service drop outs (ehemm satellite). Quick fact: local sports are broadcast free over-the-air. You just need an antenna.

The biggest benefit of these antennas is that birds, ice or wind are no issue. No more bent up ugly antenna on my roof. I feed all of this signal to my Tivo DVR combined with a streaming service (Netflix and/or Amazon Prime) so the Dish or Direct TV guy can kiss my rear. Over-the-air broadcasting is REAL HDTV.
Installation: The unit requires minimal assembly. It was easy to point and aim it in the direction most likely to work. Go to [antennaweb dot org] to get information about angles and distances to stations. I mounted the antenna in my attic of a 2 story house, but it could be mounted outdoors if your neighborhood allows such things.
Pros: Works great. This antenna improved the reception by at least 3% on all channels compared to my old antenna and some channels by 15%. It may not seem like much, but this was the difference between marginal and good reception on some channels. A few of the stations I receive are 57 miles away, at over 80%. I do live in a very flat area so your results could vary.
Summary: Cut the cord! You can live without ESPN. You can do it with this antenna.Read more ›
Lets summarize that:
Its WORTH the upgrade IF - certain channels do get picked up by your current DB4(old model) but the reception is a little dodgy at times or you need that little extra boost to have it stay clean and clear the whole time.
Its NOT WORTH the upgrade IF - You are hoping to pull in channels that you never received before. This new unit wont likely help.
The DB4e is larger than the orignal by a decent amount but still works with the same J-mount mast. Build quality is about the same which I always felt was pretty good. Of course if you dont currently have any antenna or have an older crappy one, by ALL means get the DB4e - its a good product that has always served me right and its held up well in the weather too. Its priced right too, IMO.
Id also suggest trying to mount it outside as high as you can. That alone makes a HUGE difference with any antenna. Good Luck!

Removed the dish and placed the antenna in the same spot. I'm now getting about 40 channels and that is without any amplifiers. I also have Netflix and a Roku with Sling TV. Read morePublished 6 days ago by Harleyman210
