I do remember meeting Kylie in Magic of the Gargoyles. In a battle against all of the other journalists at the Terra Haven Chronicle, junior reporter Kylie Grayson is determined to win. The prize is a once in a lifetime assignment. She has to try to get her story before a slimey co-worker, Nathan, steals her story. With Quinn’s help she joins Grant Monaghan, Captain of the Federal Pentagon Defense warriors, to save the dryads and the city. They will meet with a harpy and make a deal with her to try to defeat a spriggan threatening the forest and anything in his way. Quinn is there to add his talents to the mix. As Kylie and Grant combine their magic to accomplish their task, all sorts of thoughts about Grant begin to infiltrate her thoughts. I loved this short story and would LOVE to learn more about Grant, a lot more.
I voluntarily reviewed this book as part of the author's ARC program.
The collection ranges from first publications by amateurs just breaking into the business to polished, artfully crafted tales by beloved and established authors.
If you enjoy urban fantasy and tales of elemental magic, this collection is definitely for you.

Kylie was first introduced in the 'Gargoyle Guardian Chronicles'. Now she has a story of her own.
Kylie is a junior reporter @ the Terra Haven Chronicle. Her editor in chief has offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to the staff. Whoever has the best story in the next 48 hours gets it. Kylie wants that opportunity so the hunt begins for 'the story'.
Meanwhile, something strange is happening in Emerald Crown Grove. The dryads are acting predatory. These normally peaceful creatures seemed to be threatening people who enter the grove. An elite task force has been sent to find out what's going on & ordered everyone to stay away.
Kylie heads out there with her faithful young gargoyle, Quinn. She knows the big story she needs is in the grove & she's determined to find it.
I didn't read the other stories in the anthology but if they are as good as Rebecca's you won't be disappointed.
I received an ARC for an honest review.
