"The biggest strength of this book is its organization of material, its easy to understand language, which is important for any math book, and excellent examples, pictures and figures."
"For students enrolled in various technical programs, it is an asset to have a text that provides both general examples as well as applications related to specific fields."
"Things that I really like about the Ewen text are: reference card insert, summary breakdown of applications by field, visual images, broad range of technical fields covered, career emphasis in chapter openings, generic scientific calculator instructions, symbolic identification of application problem types, appropriate reading level, useful appendix information, and cumulative exercise sets."
"The key strengths of the Ewen text are the variety of examples for each section, and the explanations that accompany the examples."
