About the Author
Coral Moore has always been the kind of girl who makes up stories. Fortunately, she never quite grew out of that. She writes because she loves to invent characters and the desire to find out what happens to her creations drives the tales she tells. Prompted by a general interest in how life works, her undergraduate schooling was in biology. She follows science news and enjoys conversations about genetics and microbiology as much as those about vampires and werewolves. Coral writes speculative fiction and is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Writing at Albertus Magnus College. Currently she lives in Connecticut with the love of her life, who offers both encouragement and kicks in the tail when necessary. Also in residence are two mammals of the families Canidae and Felidae.

When she is sold to the worst known enforcer in the Dominion, her circumstances go from bad to potentially worse. But Lord Devin doesn't want to add to her suffering and enslavement, as he has other plans for Sindari. A crazy plan that just might make everything she has endured before look like a cake walk.
Normally I'm a bit touchy on sexual situations, but I'm glad I didn't turn this book away as the story line worked with its brutality. It's not all serious though, as the magic that Sindari and Devin can wield (and fry each other with) was amusing and a good break here and there. Sindari is easily one of the strongest heroines I've read in a long while. Probably my only complaint would be that I wanted to read more on the history of the Dominion.
Elements of Rebellion isn't for those looking for a lighthearted read, but it's another great book from Coral Moore to pick up nonetheless.
Now, with Elements of Rebellion, I wasn't surprise to read about a cruel world, but also about intense characters and a fantastic journey. Don't get me wrong, this book isn't for people who are looking for a lovely romance novel! There's romance, but the whole situation around Sindari and Devin isn't suitable to romance.
Anyway, I loved this book even if some parts were pretty hard on my mind (as for you who already read books from Coral Moore, she's not gentle with her characters!). Well, it's part of the story and it wouldn't fit the whole situation if she didn't write that kind of scenes! '' Warnings: Graphic Violence, Disturbing Themes and Sexual Situations '' You've been warned!
The story of Devin and Sindari is exciting, flaming and very intense. The relation between Devin and Sindari almost makes us forget all the harder aspects of the book. Devin is so desperate to reach his goal, which is noble and worth every sacrifice, Sindari is personally and physically involved in this quest that restores her life and many others.
I recommend this book, you should try even if you might think it's too harsh for you because Coral Moore known how to write an intriguing plot, sophisticated characters and magnificent relations. This story will lead you to an emotionally drained state. Then, you'll want more! Buy! Borrow!

I'm not sure I've ever endured a "black moment" as dark as the one in Elements of Rebellion but by the time I reached the light at the end of the tunnel, it burned brighter because of it. This is an enduring book. One that will haunt you long after the last page is read.
I am so happy that I have found a new author to add to my favorites list.
