I read this story with my six-year-old daughter who loves animals; shethought the sheep and the elephant were a funny pair. She was wonderingwhy the elephant lived where he did. The wording in the book is easy toread and in a poetic style. We both liked the illustrations. They arecolorful and cute. I really liked the message that Furstenberg put intothis story. It is one that children need to learn at an early age.Overall, my child and I enjoyed this book. My child was curious aboutthe other animal books that Furstenberg has written. So, we plan onreading the others together soon. I recommend this book for anyone withyoung children."

My mother is the one they would want forpretendgames, yet it is my father they prefer for story time. Perhapsbecausegrandfathers, with their solid appearance, are nothing butgentle giantswhen it comes to their own grandchildren and, admit it,nothing cancompare with a grandfather's ability to mimic someone else's voice!
I still remember my own grandfather telling my cousin and I a story with Prince Charming which used to pick his nose :)
I hope you will enjoy my books just as much as I loved writing them.
