About the Author
Ellen de Haan has practiced law in Florida for 28 years. She wrote her first poem in the sixth grade and has been writing children's stories and poems for more than 40 years. Ellen lives in Bellair, Florida with her huband, Nico, sharing myriad interests including music, hockey, and Brazilian Jui-Jitsu. Robert Markey is an artist who has worked in many media including painting, sculpture, video, installation, and mosaics. His first video was aired on PBS and he received international media coverage for his performance work on domestic violence. He has created mosaic murals in Brazil, Cambodia, Mexio, Sri Lanka, and the United States. For the past several years he has travelled to Asia and Brazil to work with disadvantaged kids doing mosaics. Robert lives in Ashfield, Massachusetts with his wife, Julie, who is also his travel companion, mosaic assistant, and photographer.
