I am attempting to contact the seller or the maker of this product to provide me with the necessary screws. I would much rather avoid the ordeal of having to send the product back and hope they can send me the 4 missing screws. I will update my review and will follow up on whether or not I receive these missing parts.
I was able to contact the seller and notify them of my issue. They quickly responded and were able to provide me a replacement the following week. Once I received the package, I verified all parts were present. The parts were the base, the holder, 2 standing rods, 2 set screws, and 2 hex screws, and 1 allen wrench. For anyone that was a in a similar predicament with any issues with the screws, I found out these are M3 x 6mm - 12mm screws.
This was exactly the headphone stand I've been looking for. After seeing some of the previous reviews, I found many of the negative reviews were primarily user related, where the user purchased the headphone stand that was too small for their headset. This is all despite the product description clearly stating the dimensions of the product. For the price, I think this is an excellent product so long as you receive all the parts. It is very sturdy, looks clean, and will help keep your headset in pristine condition.
Only problem is that the screws don't screw in very tightly and it's going to swivel all over the place on you.
This is easily remedied. Just put a few drops of LocTite on the screws before you put them in. Problem 100% solved. LocTite is only seven bucks or so and will definitely come in handy over the years, so if you think about it this headphone stand is still a pretty good value even if you factor in a few bucks for the LocTite.
• Clean industrial design, looks far more expensive than it is.
• Good weight, feels sturdy
• The underside of the base has a large rubber pad to keep it from sliding on your desk
• Somewhat finicky assembly
My only gripe, is that you need to take care when assembling the stand. You will want to attach the two vertical bars to the top plate (The plate the headphones will hang on), and ensure they are firmly installed. If you don't then the whole unite may twist and become loose when you install the base. This will cause the stand to become misaligned. I had to disassemble it twice to add just a little more torque to the bars to really get them snug to the top plate to stop them from loosening when attaching the bottom plate. Not really a big deal, but you just need to take care to ensure it's aligned correctly, as the unit itself has no guides, or stop points to prevent it from twisting.
I know the picture shows a pair of sony headphones, but this supports my Hifiman HE4XX without issue. Definitely recommend this stand.
Once the stand fell the connecting pieces came off and I can't find them. Pretty frustrating. I saw someone post that the connecting pieces for the headphone rest arm are not available, making this piece now a broken one.
I am surprised by the poor design, especially for the area that can fail most.
