The Elgato Green Screen is truly a great product. I really wish there were more makers of green screens like this one. I've been using mine for several months now and am ready to review the product based on reliability and longevity of the products lifespan.
PROS
* Build Quality: The materials used are of high quality and it still functions as well now as it did when I first got the product. The metal hasn't been scratched or dented in the continuous use I put it through. The mechanics inside are still sliding up and down silky smooth. I put it up and down for each use. The screen has not faded at all either.
* Ease of Use: It is super easy to use as you can just undo the latches on the metal casing and then pull the screen up. The mechanics work so well you can do it with only a couple of fingers. Same with collapsing the screen.
* Portability: Before getting this screen I used a chroma key cloth and PVC pipe to create my own screen and stand. This solution is much more pleasing looking and takes up so much less space. It also makes it easy for setup and take down.
* Height: I find the height of the screen to be a great size for indoor conditions.
CONS
* Width: This is a personal preference so I won't dock it any star power. I find the width to be good enough to sit directly behind my chair with my webcam zoomed in. You won't be able to do any wide shots or use a widescreen capture with your camera with its current size. It isn't possible to have two people sitting side by side in front of it either. I do wish there were some size options, as one size doesn't fit all. I understand that larger screens would be much heavier and more rigid to move around but I'd do it. Especially to be able to fit in a second person or get some breathing room between my chair and the screen.
*Feet don't lock: The feet currently are slightly tight so they don't completely spin around but they don't snap or lock into place when you get them into position. I wish they would so that they don't move on me when I go to the next side to adjust its foot.

Vorweg: Wir sind keine professionellen oder semiprofessionelle Fotografen. Wir haben diesen Green Screen von Elgato hauptsächlich dafür gekauft, um endlich einen Hintergrund verwenden zu können, wenn ich für Rezensionen Fotos oder Videos erstellen möchte, damit ich nicht soviel von unseren privaten Räumen zeige. Schlieslich muss man heute vorsichtig sein und hinzu kommt, dass auch die Fokussierung bei den Bildern einfacher ist durch den Elgato Screen. Vllt wagen wir uns irgendwann einmal auch an veränderte Hintergründe heran, die dieser Screen ja auch möglich macht. Die Größe finden wir absolut perfekt, zumal das Rollo nicht immer komplett ausgezogen werden muss. Das Material des Screen scheint enorm hochwertig zu sein und robust, denn als wir den Screen nach dem Auspacken das erste Mal hochzogen, waren wir enttäuscht, ich hatte sogar schon die Rücksendung initiiert, doch dann wieder storniert, weil es nicht mehr nötig war. Es befand sich ein Metallsplitter im Screen, der hatte beim Aufrollen ein unschönes Muster im Material hinterlassen und diverse kleine Abdrücke - siehe Foto 1 bis4. Aber großartigerweise waren diese nach kurzer Zeit nicht mehr zu finden - siehe auch das Video. Wir finden das spricht für sich in Bezug auf das verwendete Material des Screen. Das Aufstellen ist denkbar einfach, daher kann auch ich ganz alleine den Screen verwenden, diese Rollo-Technik finden wir einfach und genial zugleich. Das Rollo steht sehr sicher und fest, erst sehr weit unten bleibt der Screen nicht mehr stehen. Bei Nichtverwendung nimmt der Elgato Screen kaum Platz in Anspruch, er passt sozusagen in jede Ecke. Allerdings ist er kein Leichtgewicht, wir schätzen nicht ganz 10Kg. Wir freuen uns jedenfalls über diesen Kauf, auch weil ihn zu einem Top-Preis ergattert haben. Für uns gibt es nichts auszusetzen an diesem Screen, daher darf ich hier die bestmögliche Bewertung abgeben und eine bedenkenlose Kaufempfehlung abgeben. Auch wenn wir bei weitem keine Profis sind, ist dieser Screen für uns enorm nützlich.
