I purchased this to convert my 30 VHS tapes I have from over 30 years ago. Very easy to use. I had to download the software. I do not have any other devices to compare this to but I am done with 5 tapes so far and was able to save at Hi-Res and upload to YouTube to share with family and friends.
A definite recommend if you have old tapes to convert. I looked online and it looks like service charge about $20 per tape to convert. I already am ahead of the game in just 5 tapes.

Spent 4 hours trying to get this to work with Windows 10 Pro and could only get "Device could not be initialized. Please verify drive and software installation". Reinstalled, found latest driver, tried compatibility mode, uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing works. Not worth the asking price for lack of support and compatibility. Returning this.
